Hotel geared towards tours from Mainland China. Only top floors are clean and many rooms are
without outside windows. There is no European food service at all.
Few staff speak English even at the front desk.
Breakfast service is army style.

Initial impression was terrible as there was a doorman/bellman but he refused to offer me assistance as I struggled to bring my bags from the taxi to the hotel reception desk.
As I was scheduled for 5 nights I had two reservations as I had extended my original 3 nights to 5. The receptionist told me I must register again at the end of my first three days!
Then she put me in a small "inside room" with no windows for my 5 night stay; I objected and was then given a high floor corner room on the back side of the hotel, which was excellent. The morning "breakfast buffet" was Chinese Army style. there was no English room service
Once the staff got to know me the service improved.

This hotel is really good for business traveller. Everything is right - smooth and soft bed linens with hard & comfortable mattress, decent breakfast, friendly and efficient staff, good in room amenities of a 4 star hotel - fridge, safe, hair dryer, coffee maker, etc. Except that the room is a bit small as a business double, and need to walk about 10 min to the nearest subway station..
Hotel Feature Tip:
Have to book really early, as their rooms allocation is very limited.

the first hotel of taipei is very good, the freego bus station is very near the hotel, I get off the bus and only 2minutes walking to the hotel. the hotel near the metro station of nanjing dong er duan.as it is some far from the business center, but the sogo shop mall is not so far. the breakfast is ok. and the price is also acceptable. I would recommend it to you all.
