This hotel is right in the middle of Beitou, the famous hot spring spot. It took us around 5 minutes' walk from the Xin Beitou MRT (subway in Taipei) station. There are plenty of similar hot spring hotels in the neighbourhood, but Golden looks nice and I believe we made a good choice. The lobby is a bit small but the room is spacious and tidy.

Pros: 5-min walk to New Beitou station. Well designed and big room. Free wii and cup noodles. Near to Hotspring Museum. Quiet and relaxing.
Cons: Old appearance outside. Grand Sea View Room is in fact smaller than the photos shown. Can see the people in the public hotspring nearby (200m), in other words, they may also see me when I'm having shower! Not near the food market, 15-20 min walk. Feel disappointed as the staff doesn't consider your request upon booking (I am interested in one design as shown in the photos. I sent email and requested that room one month before. The staff said they'd arrange, but finally what I get is the one I dislike most!)
Overall speaking, I would still recommend this hotel having considered the value for money.

Nice stay but not worth the price

Overall the stay was good. My husband like the hot spring spa in the room with nice scenery and opened-window. But I don't like the bathroom which is separated from the shower and bath-tub area. Moreover, there is no closet in the room.

It is definitely value for money! Deluxe room was big and very comfortable. Although there was a sulphuric smell, it can be reduced by closing door of the bathroom. Totally enjoyed it!

The room is large & comfortable with private hot spring tube. Suitable for relaxing & honeymoon couple. Friendly & polite staff. But variety for breakfast is few, need to improve. Few minutes walk from xinbeitou Mrt station.

Very cozy and comfortable king size bed .
I love their king size bed. It so comfortable.In addition,I love their private bathtub .You can have a hot spring at your convenience time.^^
