I have to be honest when I first arrived in the hotel room, I was less then impressed by the bathroom (patchy ceiling) and the hotel door that required more effort then normal to keep it tight. However, as days passed (I stayed for a wk), I must say that I felt very comfortable staying in Good Ground. The location was very convenient which weighed over the cons, and the staff was rather helpful. And considering the room rates, one can't expect too much. I will defintely consider Good Ground when coming back to Taipei.

This hotel is one of the best location of the Taipei city for the foreign tourists. Very near the subway station. It is the best place for the tourist who wants to buy the wear and another consumer goods for souvenir. I want to recommend this hotel to my friend who will visit Taipei because of good traffic location.

Location is awesome, a minute walk to MRT and a minute walk to Xi Men Ting shopping place. It's clean but the room is quite small. Needed to surrender a room key every time we went out and asked for it when we got back. This was not really convenient. The pillows were too hard. Staffs were not really helpful for sightseeing places.

The location is so good that it only takes 2mins walk to ximengting train station and all shops. Its so easy to travel everywhere, especially young people. Price is affordable and location is just in the center of ximengting.

The location is very good. Once you've done your shopping, can go back to put things and go out again. Shops, manicure, salon, massage and convenience store are all around the hotel.

The bed too hard, room quite small but for the price its quite worth it.

Overall, not a very pleasant experience staying here. We have stayed in many hotels all over Taiwan and felt this was the worse. We had back and neck ache every morning after a night on the stone hard bed! There are lots of other hotels nearby at around the same rate. Even one of the poor ones (we felt) that many travel agencies like to use, also in Xi Men Ding itself, has at least free broadband in their room - this is very important if you are going free and easy in Taiwan! Definitely won't come back to this hotel.

Good location, right in the middle of Ximending.

Bed is hard as stone, old furnishing/ furniture, room smells badly of cigarette smoke, Wifi only available at the lobby and it's chargeable. Breakfast not included.

The crowd, mostly yuppies, so family with teenagers will enjoy staying in this hotel. There are fast foods inside the department stores nearby. The beddings, towels and toiletries regularly changed. The staff entertains any queries. The temperature of the A/C unit is just okay. You've got the fair value of the price. The bed is hard but okay for tired body.

The hotel is very much near Xinyi's most busiest street where you can find several branded and local goods at bargained price especially during nighttime. Crowd, mostly yuppies. Fast food inside the department stores nearby. Okay for family with teenagers. Towels and toiletries regularly changed.

Good restaurants around but won't be able to eat 'cause no one knows how to speak or understand English.

Overall, it is a good and convenient budget hotel which gets u practically anywhere. Would recommend one to go if u are looking for a budget and reasonable clean and safe hotel. If simple breakfast is provided it will be great !!

Very convenient location right in the heart of Ximen Ding and Ximen MRT. Friendly and helpful staff. Though small but it is clean and money for value. Security is good and u do feel safe.

A little noisy in the early morning but probably due to the construction going on at a shop nearby. Central air con control as such u will not be able to adjust the temp u want.

Room is big. The hotel has automatic upgrade my room with free of charge. You can use wireless at lobby until late night, suitable for those vocation and working people. Will stay back again if go to TaiPei again.

A very good location of hotel which only a few minutes walk from MRT Xi Men, Xi Men Ding and some interesting places.

It curtains it to the bath. There is no sofa in the room. The bride in the room of 212 removes, and substitutes it for the curtain or something.

The reception desk where Japanese was able to be spoken was good.

Location is a plus pt, it is convenient to move around from Gd Ground Hotel as it is very near to the Taipei Metro.

Interior setting of the hotel room is a little run down. It is also a little problematic to find food around the hotel in the morning.

• Nightlife Tip : Nightlife is vibrant and interesting. You will never be bored once you hit out to the streets at Taipei in the night, the night market caters to your needs in terms of food and shopping. If you are tired, you can also make a cup of coffee and relax back in your hotel room and enjoy the array of tv programmes vide cable. The hotel provides electric kettle and hence it is useful for traveller like me who loves coffee/ tea before bedtime.
