the hotel is within 3 min walk to fu zhong mrt station, which is a big plus. Near it are lots of convenience stores and eateries. As solo traveler, these are definitely pros. Only complaint i have is that the room is a little dimly lit, which is not good for stay of long time. And because this time i was given a room facing the dilapited flats behind the hotel, i felt this is a con. Check in and out are swift, no fuss.

Grand Forward Hotel is one of the best hotel I've checked in during my many travels around the world because of the convenience it provides (transportation, complimentary internet everywhere, wifi and cable internet access in room, shopping malls, convenience stores). Everything in the vicinity of the hotel are in walking distance including the station to MRT. You are in the station in 2 minutes of short walk which will take you practically everywhere in Taiwan.
Buffet breakfast is excellent. The snacks in the mini-bar in the deluxe room are all complimentary. It is a high-tech hotel including all light switches and heating control in deluxe room is digital.
I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. My only complain is that it smells of cigarettes, probably from the central air-con. The location is fabulous. It is 5 min walk to the night market where you can find many interesting and bargain clothings, little bit of electronics, souveniors, street food etc. The breakfast is free. It serves quite a good range of food.

Its location , as its walking distance from train station. Service is great and rooms are good

I have been to this hotel multiple times, and the reason is that it is not very expensive, its location is very good, be it connectivity to train station , or proximity to market places. The staff is really supportive and very accomodative. The rooms are comfortable and provide the basic amenities. The space in the room is little less though; it could be a little more spacious. Food is good. Does not make you feel heavy or acidic . Teh lounge/ bar is really a nice place to chill out. Its a perfect place for me to stay whether i am on a business trip of with my family holidaying in Taiwan.

If in Taiwan, do see Taipei 101

這次住的房型有一點小問題發生,就是浴室沒熱水,不過緊急找飯店人員處理,那他們也很快速處理完成,效率很好,態度也都很好
