Very pleasant experience overall, no major complaints. Breakfast until 10am is very decent, with multiple offerings of simple Eastern and Western foods. We were somewhat puzzled by the policy of only issuing one key card per room. Also, wireless internet was VERY slow that week. But these seem like minor issues compared with being in a terrific part of Taipei and being able to get anywhere else quickly by subway. This was my second stay at the Grandee and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to most types of travelers.

Hotel was located right across Shilin night market and around 5 min walk to nearest MRT station. Easy access to many bus plying routes to major sight seeing.
Staff are friendly and helpfully.
Room comes with nicely furnished bathroom. :)

hotel is strategically located for tourists who enjoys shopping at night markets and for food tripping . THo' the main entrance of the hotel is through a small hallway ,but considering its location .it is still conveniently located for shopping. The famous Shihlin market is just across the hotel and walking distance to MRT and a bus ride for some tourists spot like national palace museum. I like the spacious bathroom separated bathtub and shower, and housekeeping is always available and cleanliness is well maintain.. the odd is that they only provide one Room key per room ,which is inconvenient at times,overall we had a good stay at the hotel.

small boutique hotel with helpful staff, bfast is ok. good location at entrance of the famous night market;so even raining we could rush back to hotel. surround with lots of eaterly. saloon if you want to try but not recommend.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
buy a bus/mrt card at Steven Elevent try to take bus. it is fun and cheap. must visit taipei zoo, I find Koala bear in the zoo
