surprisingly big and clean rooms

the hotel was located on a corner which made it hard to see from down the street. you need to take an elevator up to the tenth floor where all the rooms were. honestly i wasnt expecting that much, but once i entered the room, i was very pleasantly surprised to discover how spacious the room was. i'm very big on money for value, so this was an excellent room for the money i paid!

customer service was excellent. moved in to the 11th floor but its polluted with cigarettes smell and my key was stuck on the door so i requested to move to another room which they did without any hesitation. however, i wasn't able to get a wifi connection on 12th floor and ethernet connection wasn't working. called front desk and said that they are having some issues with internte connection lately. aside from the problem above, the bed was too firm for my liking, breakfast was acceptable although i think its below standard.
on the positive side, room very spacious, customer service was one of the best, large 42" lcd and 2 free adult channels. there's karaoke service (not part of the hotel).
conclusion: this is a old hotel

nice enough hotel

there were three of us and we stayed at one of their triple rooms. we took an airport taxi to the hotel which cost us about 1200TND. the thing about their airport taxi is there's no tag whatsoever on the taxi body declaring that they are indeed airport taxi, it is just a black (but quite luxurious branded car though) car with a driver that was wearing a suit (sorta gave us a mafia feelings at the first impression) so it should have been understandable i think for us to feel quite uneasy at first. but it turned out he was quite nice :)
during checked in, no passport or anything was asked from us,so the process only took about 5mins. but their stuffs were very limited in speaking english so you might have to be very patient if you want to ask about anything. we stayed for 7nights and it turned out there's a receptionist that can speak ok english on our last day there (maybe she's on leave before that i dont know). and every day before you want to leave the hotel, you have to give the room's key to them and take it back on when you came back to the hotel that evening.
the only complaint i have against their stuffs was their limited ability in conversing in english. but the stuffs were very nice and tried their very best to try and understand what we said to the best of their ability and to cater for us. the manager was also very attentive to our needs. one night we have problem with the free wifi in the room, the manager tried his best to fix it and we have no problem at all later on. the wifi's speed is quite ok. during our stay, the restaurant is undergoing renovation, so they dont prepare breakfast, but the hotel did buy us simple breakfast from outside every morning for free.
all in all, i can say it was an alright stay for us. it was after all a 3stars hotel but we still feel comfortable staying there. would recommend to others who are not fussy enough, but then if you want more, guess you have to pay more right?

there's a thai restaurant (aside from chinese restaurants and cafes) 5mins walk away which we frequented. also, the hotel is in the middle of a small town so there are also banks, 7 eleven and a small mall nearby. the MRT station is just 7mins away. very convenient for travelers.

We stayed at their triple room, very spacious. Near to MRT, but a bit away from the city area. Not recommended for families with kids, as level 6,7 and 8 are ktv.

Nice hotel but bad surrounding environment

the hotel is at 10th level for this building. level 6,7 and 8 are ktv rooms and customers of both hotels and ktv share the same lift. location is pretty convenient with sanchong elementary school station (yellow line)about 5 mins away.
rooms very spacious and nice. receiptionist is unfriendly, no customer service skills. wifi is available at the conference room and lift lobby, lan cable connection is available for all rooms.
breakfast is simple with 2 choices, western or chinese. chinese food consists of dishes with porridge and western consists of sunny side up egg, hot dogs and bread.
overall, the stay was good except for the surrounding environment.

Unusual location - out of the mainstream

This hotel is a little outside of the downtown area - tho easily accessible on the metro. The room was huge and much better value than the downtown hotels for the same price. I was the only non Asian in the hotel and the area - which I liked. There are some very interesting food markets near by - just keep a track of which way you go for coming back. This is one of those situations where having the hotel name written in Chinese is a good thing to have with you.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Not very easy to find the first time - come out of the station (Sanchong Elem Sch Station) onto the main road. Look over to your left and you will see a tall building one street back (it the tallest building you can see tho it is only 15 or so floors)with a neon "Hotel" sign on the top - thats it! You enter the building and take the elevator up to the 10th floor and thats reception! Dont let this put you off - it is very easy.
