The hotel is not a run of the mill international chain but rather a local city type hotel catering for business and leisure travellers alike from all over the world. Its privately set with decent facilities albeit nothing to write home about. The breakfast is a little underwhelming and the genreal feel of the place is a lot more tired in appearance than the photos give reason to believe. That said, its all very functional with comfortable beds and good aircon. Staff are very friendly but so is everyone in Taipei. Surprisingly, spoken English however leaves a lot to be desired (except reception staff) and this is also true for the rest of Taipei. In short, one must not expect international 4 or 5 star standard. A good 3 stars is about right. Nonetheless, if you don't expect too much you will not be disappointed. This is still a great value hotel with a great location, 5 minutes walk from the airport shuttle bus.

the hotel is a little older than the pictures shown but is still in a good condition. staff were very friendly always with a smile. book an airport transfer through agoda, mailed the hotel and they mailed me back very quickly. our room had a view of taipei 101 which was nice. a bit of a walk from the mrt but nice and close to bars and nightlife. in all a good hotel for the price

The room is spacious and clean. We love to stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel is around 15 minutes walk from the MRT station. We recommend to take the city bus where the bus station is very close to the hotel and you can reach quite a lot of shopping areas and night markets.
Their breakfast is quite simple and it is recommended to add choices of fried eggs, waffle which could be made according to order as the number of hotel guests is not many.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a airport shuttle bus station behind Shangrila Hotel which is only 5 minutes walk away from this hotel.

ok location- 10 mins walk to MRT station

we had no choice but to book this hotel for a night, couldn't get other better choices during CHinese new year- overall, price was ok, location is good, you can go basically everywhere by walking, 10 mins walk to MRT station too.
the only issue we didn't like is 'smoking smell' we stayed in non-smoking room, but it was still quite strong smoking smell.
