Our stay at the hotel was just average consideribg the breakfast, walking distance to Ximending shopping district and to Ximen MRT station. Staff was willing to accomodate us on places we want to go but language was big hindrance because they dont speak english

The stay was pleasant. Except for the breakfast which lacked ambience, international food variety n quality. The staff service was inconsiderate as they started clearing plates and food at 9.30am sharp. The tables wer all huge round tables...great for large tour groups but not for couples and small groups.

Hotel River View has a nice Tan Sui He view. exspecially at night time . clean room. frienly house keeping . good service . and near to Shi Men Ting shopping mall. is easy to get the transport .like MRT Station .

Old hotel that needs to be refurbished

It was an average stay, not great. Really old hotel. Carpets were damp and had a musky smell. Location is way out of main XiMenDing area. 15 to 20 mins walk from XiMenDing Exit 6. Only 1 adaptor point to charge your electronics. We did bring a multi-plug to extend out, but everything about the hotel is really out dated, though I notice the bar at level 1 was pretty new. Only consolation is that the staff were friendly, but not professional. It is definitely over-rated for a 4 star hotel. In terms of cleanliness and service. Beds were of different types of heights for the same type of rooms. Only booked it as it was the only hotel in the area that had triple bedded rooms during my period of stay.
