Quiet & peacefu neighborhood

Small, cosy hotel that has no frills. If you like a quiet environment, off the main road, this hotel is the place for you. Opposite is a school and it can get pretty noisy, especially on school dismissal. Other than that the neighborhood is quiet and serene in the evenings.
The rooms are quite large, but they look a little tired, sad and old. The hotel is overdue for a major renovation and sprucing up. My room was on the second floor that faced the lounge area where you could hear some guests talking and having the free beverages that were provided. There is even a laptop for guests' use, but I thought they should have provided at least one more. Breakfast was at the family restaurant just next door, but there were limited choices (about 5-6 set breakfast). Luckily, I only stayed for one night, but I could just imagine that anyone would quickly get tired of the breakfast, if one were to stay for more than 2 or 3 nights.
Restaurant Tip:
There are many eating establishments around the hotel if you are bored of the food. On scouting around, I came across Japanese restaurants, one Shanghainese restaurant, 2 porridge and noodle restaurants. However, about 2 blocks away on the main street, I stumbled upon a really tasty Taiwanese restaurant called Formosa Choi. You could order a set meal that comes with everything, which was very yummy. It was one of the cleaner restaurants and I was attracted by many balloons inside and outside the restaurant. It is not only a family restauarnt, but many couples and groups patronised it as well.

big room but the shower is too slow.
location is acceptable but far from metro station.

have a big and clean room. location is quite in a residence area. easy to find and a lot of good food around this area.
set breakfast is ok. the room rate less than usd 90.00 is ok, otherwise it is too expensive.
a big problem the shower is very bad. the hot water flow is really slow. if you can take a cold bath that's ok.
