Great affordable hotel for a Taipei Getaway

We were able to find this hotel relatively easily thanks to other reviewers, so we knew what landmarks to look for. We took an airport bus and the driver knew we were staying at iTrip and dropped us off pretty close.
We were in room 101. There's no windows in the room itself but there's one in the big bathroom. Since this hotel is in the entertainment district of Taipei, it can be a bit noisy at night but this didn't bother us too much. The A/C fan was a little loud and there was a blue light that stayed on while it's on which made it slightly difficult to sleep so we just turned it off. On our 2nd night, they used a really strong smelling cleaner on the bathroom which was a bit much but luckily the smell faded after a while. Would have liked the option of not having them to replace our towels in the interest of the environment but this is a small thing.
Breakfast was interesting- a plentiful enough and filling variety of mostly Asian food. The staff were great; one guy spoke excellent English was they were all friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay here again!

Well located in Ximending area, a place for shopping and surrounded with good restaurants. If you are tired of the hotel breakfast, there are two local cafes across the street that sell good breakfast for the locals.
Hotel room is bigger than I expected, especially the bathroom. The room is clean and bed is big. Value for money for such a no-frill hotel.
