nice hotel in quiet location

overall the hotel is quite good. clean bedroom and bathroom, the location is far from the mrt station but it's easy to get taxi.
nearby places: 98 degrees which is open 24 hours, 7 eleven, chemist just next door,small shopping centre, few restaurants and massage place.

Room is cozy. Very clean and tidy. Toilet is sizable given the size of the room. I bad king size bed which is really comfortable. There is no subway train nearby but its actually not far from city hall and 101. Within 20 to 30 mins walk, you can reach these centre hub of the city.
I enjoyed staying in this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The night view from the rooftop is spectacular.

standard 3 star hotel with clean facility

i arrived in a taxi during a down pour, with 2 luggage, limping due to a sport injury on my right ankle. there were about 5 staff at the reception (4 male 1 female) 5 meters away. all stood there and look at me. none even bothered to open the door for me.
i would rather sleep at taipei train station then to book at the hotel again.
Travel tip:
Raohe night market is about 7-10 min walk up the road. Worth a visit.
No taxi rank outside the hotel. Make sure you get the hotel to arrange for one if you are traveling early in the morning.

The hotel is very good, nice rooms (if you order deluxe), nice bathroom. Only 20 minutes’ walk to Taipei 101, or by taxi in 5 minutes, and very near the sun yat sen memorial.
7/11 nearby, and restaurants also. Recommended for price and quality, 3,5 - 4 stars hotel new and very clean.
Breakfast is ok, international.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
out of hotel right side (30 seconds walking) there’s a massage place that work only blind people. Excelent masage, recommended 100%

Very smart business hotel

my partner and i stayed in the richforest for a week in november and again in december, 2011. the hotel is very good value for money.
the staff are efficient and professional. their grasp of english is generally good and if it's not, they will soon find another staff member whose is!
the rooms are well appointed with international power outlets at the desk and a good selection of english channels are available on tv. the beds are the perfect level of softness!
the richforest is not very close to any public transport options. i get the feeling most clients are businessmen whose companies pay for cabs, or package tourists from mainland china who have transfers pre-booked. my partner and i are quite fit and enjoy walking, so this was no problem for us. it is about 15-20 minutes walk to the city hall mrt/bus station which we did with no problems almost everyday. if you are unfit or adverse to walking, take a cab - it's about nt$75 to city hall station and about nt$180 to taipei main station.
the gym here is one of the best in this price range. while it only has basic equipment (treadmill, exercise bike, full set of dumb bells and a weight bench) the room is large enough to workout in (as opposed to being cramped into an old broom closet as often happens!) and is on the rooftop. the view outside towards taipei 101 is quite a sight. there is also a free laundry room (with laundry powder provided) with two washing machines and two driers for guest use, which we found very handy.
breakfast is fine. there is a small selection of cereal for westerners (muesli, cornflakes, coco pops and froot loops!). my partner and i cannot have dairy so we took our own mini cartons of soy milk along, which nobody seemed to mind.
there is a night market about 10 mins walk away that was like a mini shilin, but a few less people!
we would definitely stay in this hotel again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
most hotels in taiwan offer free internet, however it is not always wireless in-room. i found setting up a wireless network on my computer (macbook pro) was an easy way to get wireless in the room, allowing me and my partner to access the internet on our computers and smart phones simultaneously. this was especially useful as we were on a working holiday while in taipei. it is as simple as turning on internet sharing in your system preferences, just make sure you have the password authentication set up and your firewalls on!

modern hotel with the 101 view.

hotel is good value for the money. at the breakfast buffet stuff learned what i liked and next few mornings always brought it o my table with the smile. unfortunately hotel is not near mrt station (15 to 20 min walk) so one has to do some hiking. also airport bus doesn't stop near the hotel. best bet is to take airport limousine to min station or hyatt and then take taxi. there is plenty of restaurants nearby and also shopping mall and night market. rooms are clean and comfortable, but if you have room with the view of 101 there is noise penalty because it faces busy street.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't forget to go to 9th floor where you have direct open air view of Taipei 101. It is terrace. There is also gym and coin laundry there.

Quite and Useful, but
near from airport, and center area of taipei city

the place is near from shopping mall, and airport, and
central area of taipei city, so totaly useful.
the room is flooring and well cleaned. but thin-walled.
1 stayed 4 days, then housekeeper forgot to replace the
towels 1 day.
because its new hotel, almost all taxi driver doesn't
know, but it will be solved soon.
