Relatively good location, essential needs met, not too expensive.
The room is not so attractive, the shower and bathroom are in one space without separation so the toilet gets wet when you shower, the staff is very loud in the morning which woke me up.
I would recommend the Paradise Hotel for a travel looking for a cheap place to stay and traveling alone. It is just down the street in Ximenting from the shopping and nightlight action, and the staff was competent if not the most friendly I have met. The room had every thing I needed, including good TV, refrigerator, shampoo and razor.
The downsides were that the room was not very pretty, and the bathroom feels like some pubic facility with the shower and toilet in the same place with no separation, which means the whole room gets wet when you shower. Being located on a main street it is not very quiet, although the street noises did not wake me up--the sound of the maids talking as they worked did. I would not want to stay there as a couple, but on my own it was fine and cheap.
Hotel Feature Tip : Buy a bottle of water before returning to the hotel at night.

The hotel is in the right location of the busy city. It can easily access to the MRT Station and to the nearby shopping centre. The staffs are friendly and helpful, especially the lady Manager.
The room is a bit small. Need improvement for the bathroom.

walking distance from the night market. walking distance to the metro station. staff know how to speak english. room service is good.
the pillow is a bit hard. (anyway we only need accommodation for us to sleep because we are mostly outside)
It is my first time to visit Taipei and its a good thing that me and friends stayed in Paradise Hotel which gives us a good location to explore because it is near to the metro station so we hardly take cab/taxi to go back to the hotel. Since the it is near the night market we been able to spend our day outside without fearing on going back to the hotel because we can just walk back. Though i felt 4 days is too short for me so i am planning on going back and i will stay in Paradise hotel provided that they are not fully booked.

- 10 Mins walk to XiMenTing.
- Nice breakfast shop diagonnally across from hotel. Next to Wonstar.
- First stayed on the first floor during the first part of my travel. Aircon ok. Subsequent stays on 3rd floor aircon off, room is still freezing.
- Noisy, starts from 7am. if you are light sleeper...THATS IT!
This hotel is more rundown and expensive than a budget hotel in Singapore. Not sure how is the stars earned. Its just a place for you to sleep and shower and for light sleeper to buy ear plugs to sleep till late. Location is considered not bad, if you know how to cut through Ximenting, Ximen MRT is about 10 mins walk. Free WI-FI is only available at lobby. My first 2 days in first floor room was ok, aircon was ok. Subsequent 6 days room at 3rd floor, next to lift lobby. Super Noisy and Bloody COLD even when aircon switched off. Did not have food in the hotel, food stores located near hotel is good.
Restaurant Tip : 1) Breakfast- shop diagonally to right of hotel as you come out. Nice Toast,Pancake etc. Must Try Black Pepper Pork Toast, etc!
2) Supper - Noodles stall on opposite side of road on left side of hotel. Opp 7-11 on same side of hotel.
3) Bittergourd juice - first shop when you access Ximenting by crossing to opposite side of hotel. Die Die must try.

Near to MRT and Shopping area.
Friendly and very helpful hotel staffs.
If you are on a budget... this hotel is one of the best hotel u can choose. Its within walking distance from the most famous shopping area XIMEN DING. Hotel staffs are friendly and very helpful especially if you have problem in searching for place, they are more than willing to help u. Every floor there is a hotel staff located outside the floor and they will greet u and even ask if u need ur room to be serviced. There are restaurants and convenient stores just a stone throw from the hotel so traveller need not worried about food when they feel hungry in the middle of the night.

This hotel is close to everything. We love all the restaurants near by this place. I was having fun a lot shopping around the area at night, it was awasome!! And it doesn't take much time to walk to the MRT. The hotel's staffs are nice, we got our room upgrade!!
Well.. it was hard to find the hotel at first, they don't tell you exactly where we can find this hotel after get off from the MRT station.
This hotel is just awasome place to stay!!, We didn't get breakfast here but it doesn't matter, you can find food and restaurants close by this place everywhere and anytime!
Great area to shop!,we usually shopping around this area at night when we got back from travel.
The hotel'staffs speak English quite ok,not that good but they can understand you and you can understant them. They are helpful, the room is clean but the air-conditioner is very cold even we turn it off,so prepare the sweater for the night.
Shopping Tip : Just shop around the area from Ximen MRT station to the hotel, you probably get plenty of cloths already!!

Hotel was in a good location close to Ximending with just 5 minutes walk. Service at the counter was good where there are people who can speak good and fluent Japanese and English. 3 different convenient stores near by. Direct express bus from airport to the hotel. Cheap and worth the money with good service, clean rooms and comfy beds. Has a cold and hot water dispenser near the lift lobby.
Room we stayed in has no window. Even with the aircon off, room was still cold.
Good location and worth the money - hotel rate is cheap. Alright for families to stay and very tourist friendly for people who speak English, Japanese and Mandarin.
Hotel Feature Tip : Some of the hotel rooms have no windows. Nonetheless, the room is satisfyingly clean and comfortable. Bathroom equipped with a shower, wash basin and toilet seat. No bath tub.

Quite near Ximenting MRT.
1) Room doesn't have any sound prove.
2) Dirty dusty. Ants are found inside the room!
3) Both interior & exterior of the hotel looks very old.
4) At least 75% of the staff either poor or heck-care attitude.
5-7 mins walk from Xinmen MRT (provided that you know the way). It is consider cheap to get such pricing in Taipei but, you might want to consider some other hotels if you are willing to pay for a higher rate. And of cos when you pay more, you should receive more.

Location is nearest to teenagers shops.
Room is not clean . Toilet is not separated the wet and dry area . Rooom is small and not confortable to stay. Receptionest is not cared to customers. Not recommended well enough and English is poor to understand.
Weak points is so much. It is not value added to pay at this such cost. Will not return to stay anymore. Hotel is old and toilet and room have to reinvovate.
Nightlife Tip : Crowded all night. Safe for tourists because it is near by Ximenting station.

Paradise Hotel is in good location--it is near the famous Ximending shopping area and many cheap restaurants. It is five minutes away from popular temples.
The room we stayed in is reasonably spacious but the toilet is very small. The shower is just adjacent to the toilet seat. When you shower the toilet seat gets wet. The hotel does not have a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner-only breakfast. This is perhaps because there are many restaurants near by.
Paradise Hotel is good value for the price we paid for it. It is in a good location-short walking distance to the shopping area and many cheap restaurants. The room we stayed in is clean and modern but the toilet is very tiny where the shower is almost directly above the toilet seat. The hotel does not have a good restaurant and does not serve dinner or lunch. This is perhaps because there are many cheap restaurants nearby. But the staff are very nice and helpful. They helped us arrange our tours to various places at a much cheaper price than if we took package tours. If you do not mind a very tiny toilet, then I recommend this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Instead of going on package tours, if there are four of you to share, renting a car arranged by the hotel is cheaper.

good location, safe environment, comfy beds, great shower, cable tv with 100+ channels.
the decor at the reception is over the top, the room is cold even with the aircon switched off (we stayed there from 23-27 Jan).
the location is good, because it is a stone's throw away from Ximending, and near the hotel there is a hot pot restaurant and two 24-hour convenience stores. the renovated room is not too bad, the beds are big and comfy, and the water pressure of the shower is excellent - gives a good back massage after a long day of shopping. the staff at the reception are also friendly and offer good advice. the area around the hotel is also safe even at night. Cable TV with 100+ channels are available. However, the room gets a bit cold, even with the aircon switched off (you can do this with switches at the bedside) but that could be because we visited during Chinese New Year. Cannot comment on the food because our room did not come with breakfast, but finding food is no problem because there are many eating places nearby.
Shopping Tip : if you visit during the Chinese New Year period, you can visit Dihua Street Market. Turn left while exiting the hotel and continue walking for about 20 mins till you hit City God Temple, where you will see people walking towards you with plastic bags of food and other new year goodies. Just head towards the noise and you will come to Dihua Street where you can sample & buy food. At the end of Dihua Street, there is a food stall that sells vermicelli noodles in fish soup and fried pork cutlet - extremely good and cheap.

i think the best features of the hotel is the position of the transportation and the surrounding.
building and the rooms are old and the rate is not cheap compare with the condition another tourist are talking with a louder voice at mid night.
stayed paradise hotel Taipei Taiwan for three nights. this is my first stay and visit sea-men area and surprised that the down town area especially full of young people. i felt that the building and rooms are comparatively old and the hotel price is not cheap compare with the condition. but the best thing i felt is very convenient location the 4-5 minutes walk to sea-men subway station and easy to go any place from that station also there are many restaurants around there.
