External Facade deceives pleasant interior!

Known among cab drivers to be one of the more expensive hotels, Pause Landis Resort Wulai is worth making a repeat visit. The set dinner ranging between NT400 - NT600 offered by hotel restaurant is delicious and value for money.
Hotel room with hotspring overlooking the river and mountain is great! Easy to reach hotel via the local bus 849 which stops almost in front of hotel but we took a cab @ NT100 per pax.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Would recommend hotel to anyone who loves hotspring.

Lovely hotel with nice spa facilities

You can choose to enjoy a private spa in room where you can control the water temperature, or go to the public pool where you can also choose to use jacuzzi, sauna, hot or cold water pool. The room facing the mountain/river maybe better, our room faces the street on the 2/F and you will hear the motorbikes passing-by, no views. Location wise, it is a bit of walk to go to the Old Street but you can also catch a bus #849 costing 15TWD per person. The bus stop is pretty near to the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bring walking shoes and comfortable clothing. Most guided tours need advance booking 3-day prior, 'd better check out what you would like to do before arrival.

Nice hotel with interesting style

Had a really nice time. Be aware that the restaurant kitchen closes promptly at 8.30pm which i found a little surprising for TW. Would definitely stay again.

Not bad if you never visited Volando next door

Theres nothing much else than the onsen itself. Kind of surprised that there's so spa nor basic massage service for what is suppose a relaxing place.
The service is friendly but rules are strict and staff inflexible. Some slight disappointments on inconvenience:
(1) no extra toilet papers in the room
(2) we checked in 2 hours later than their supposed check in time due to flight delay, but staff denied slight change in check out time. 11am is 11am, at most before 11.30am.
(3) one restaurant in the hotel - the environment is comfy but the local food in Wulai town (10min walk from hotel) is more yummy and costs half as much.
(4) dinner not inclusive in the room charge. Thus compared with Volando Urai, which price includes afternoon tea, dinner and supper, which quality and presentation is incomparable .
(5) can use public onsen downstairs for one time only. This compares to Volando's unlimited use of public and outdoor Onsen.
Restaurant Tip:
Would suggest to dine out at the local restaurants than at the restaurant at Pause Landis.

Nice big room though disappointed with view.

hotel is located 2 bus-stops away from the wulai old town. a quiet environment - good for resting. the hotspring tub wasn't kept well and the windows not cleaned. even though we paid more for the 'river view', we didn't get a good river/mountain view else, the room was cosy, esp the king-size bed. our morning walk up to the waterfall (about 1hr+ walk to/from old town) was lovely.

Very nice hot spring hotel

All staffs in hotel we encountered are very friendly, the hotel is not big due to location, but is a 5 star hotel with comfortable room including big hot spring tub; great view and strongly recommended to visit their public hot spring area.

Very nice hotel with spacious room

The hotel is located close to the bus station which the bus route operates from Xindian to Wulai. The decor of the hotel and rooms is very comfortable and stylish. The staff are all very helpful in information-giving or suggesting to us where to go. The room is spacious and the private bath with onsen water is very nice. Breakfast is included, and the room charge, though a bit high, proves to be value-for-money. If people don't want to stay in the hotel for dinner, the walk to Wulai Old Street is also convenient, or you can take the same to the terminus. We also tried the afternoon tea in the quiet afternoon.

hotel with a comfortable lobby. staff were helpful especially on the hotel facilities and arrangement of transportation for us. hotel room was a little bit below my expectation but was acceptable.
