Good location, Clean and Safe

location is great for this hotel. it is right in the heart of xi men ding, a lively shopping district. lots of shops and restaurants available. it is about 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station, which brings you to the major attractions in taipei city itself. exterior of the hotel does not say much but the interior is ok - clean and bright enough. service staff are also friendly, even though there is no one to help you with your luggage.

Superb location and accessibility !
Smack right at the center of ximenting, very convenience as there are 24hrs convenience stores only a stone throw away.

very conveniently located at the heart of ximenting. 5 mins walk away from the nearest mrt station.
many shops for youngsters and those bubble tea lovers will find 1 really nice one right beside the hotel. at such a crowded place, it can get a tad noisy during weekend as shops usually closed ard 1030pm. the staff at the hotel is friendly but can opt to hire more staff during weekend as it might get really crowded sometimes. hotel cleanliness is still fairly ok, they still clean n tidy ur room despite putting up the do not disturb sign. which wonder mr why. would definitely recommend this hotel again!

"Ideal location but not fantastic rooms"

The rooms were small with old and stained furnitures. The set up looked like a budget hotel, and the rooms were not sound-proof. Carpet was a little old, and you have to ensure that you were always in slippers. On the other hand, the location was good considering that it was in the shopping district and near the MRT. Service staffs were friendly and helpful. No tips required.
Shopping Tip:
You can consider Rao He Night market which supercedes the tourist Shi Lin Night market.

Great location but small and old rooms

we stayed one night at rainbow. the hotel is situated within minutes to ximen station.
the hotel is old.....old lobby, old rooms with dated furnishing. although staff are friendly and helpful, they checked us into a wrong room. consequently, they moved our baggage to the correct room without our consent while we were out, which i thought was rather rude. counter staff would also readily give out room keys to guests without verifying whether they actually stayed in the room.....which gave us doubts on the security of the hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't leave valuables in your room.

super convenient location. right smack at xi men ding. there's watsons and 7-eleven right downstairs and the famous mango ice shop at just a few steps away from the hotel.

Great location but security needs improvement

Like what everyone else mentioned, the major pro about this hotel is the location. I will instead elaborate more about what I find could be improved.
When leaving the hotel for the day, the hotel staff would request for the key to be left at the desk. However, to pick up the key, you just need to quote the room number and they will hand the key to you. This doesn't seem to be very secure and I think is something they should look into.
