The hotel provided free parking for guests which was great in busy Taipei. They were very accommodating although they may appear rude. Rooms assigned were small but well equipped however, Wifi were only available in lobby

although hotel was a little old, room was clean and tidy. service attitudes of the staff were also excellent. please note there isn't any heater in the room so it might be a little cold during cold days.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
While the hotel can be considered to be very close to the mrt station, most attractions do not have their mrt stations on this particular line.

The hotel is pretty old without renovation. Compared to many other newly opened hotels in similar size, it definitely needs to be renovated to stay competitive in town.
The entrance is a bit small and not obvious, which is quite hard to locate especially at night
The area it locates is convenient though, and easy to reach the Metro station.

Old hotel with nice service and price

The hotel looks old, which can be seen directly from its interior both in the lobby and inside our rooms. I understand the hotel tries to look as a classic victorian style hotel, but I personally am not fond with the design. Staffs were helpful and pretty quick during check-in. Breakfast was located at the 9th floor, we need to go to 8th floor by elevator and then walk up the stairs. The breakfast room was petite, small, and they did not offer much variations of meals, which is still acceptable for their rates. The location is not that nice, especially when you take the Metro since we had to walk 10-15 mins to the Metro station, and nearby shops and sightseeing were not that interesting for us. The laundry room is of no use since the machines are broken.
One negative note is that both in our two family rooms, the door to the bathroom has a slight blank spot that people from outside the bathroom can see inside, which is not comfortable for everyone in my group.
