Good location. The MRT station was only 10 min walk. The room was comfortable. The staff was helpful.
The decor was rather dated. The food in the restaurant was decent but the selection was not wide.
We stayed there for a total of 6 days. When we got there, I was at first a bit turned-off by the decor (it's very old fashion with dated furniture in the lobby). However, the staff was very helpful and the room was large (by Taiwan standard) and clean. They have two PCs in the hotel meeting area that we can use to do emails without charge (other hotels in Taiwan tend to charge for internet usage). The restaurant has limited selection but there are other food stalls and restaurants around the hotel. Overall, we has a good time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 10 min from MRT station. Near large park and the Taiwan art museum.

A wide band of international satellite channels on TV. DVD player is equipped so that guests can bring their own DVDs to watch them. I bought some animation DVDs in Taipei for my daughter and played some DVDs for her. Until we reached this hotel, my daughter was feeling home-sick and wanted to go home. Thanks to the hotel, when we found the DVD player in the room, the first thing I did was to play my daughter's DVD to make her feel at home. It worked very well!
The Japanese bell captain was very experienced and professional. We like to meet this kind of staff while staying at a hotel overseas.
This hotel must be very popular for Japanese travelers. My husband coincidentally met his Japanese colleague with his family visiting from Singapore.
When we left the hotel for the international airport. The hotel staff called a taxi for us. We were very touched by her consideration to use a special taxi (Da-ai; a big love in English) for a long distance trip. The driver of Da-ai taxi was a physically handicapped person with only one leg. The taxi was decorated with a big bunch of lilies.
It was a very nice experience to say farewell to Taiwan.
