1) Superb location
2) Thoughtful service e.g. free Want Want snacks and drinks
3) Toiletries including toothbrushes were replaced daily.
4) Quiet gym with tv, towels and drinks
5) Friendly and helpful hotel staff.

1) The lighting in my room was rather dim, and the small window didn't help.
2) For a 5-star hotel, the room was smaller than I expected.

4) Limited spread for breakfast. Being in the heart of Taipei East side, one of the best things about San Want Hotel is its convenient location.
San Want Hotel is situated next to the blue line of the Taipei train service. Be it Ximengding, or Taipei 101, all it takes is around 10 to 15 minutes to get to your destination. One of the biggest 24-hr bookstore, Cheng Pin (Dun Nan) is just five minutes away by cab. San Want is also near renowned eateries, shops and even clubs.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I'd ordered shoes online and had them sent to the hotel. The staff collected on my behalf and left a note for me to get it from front desk.
For people with laptops, they can use the free internet. As for those without the cables (like me, with my 3G phone that requires wifi), there was wireless service on the first and fourth level.
Overall, it was a good experience and I'd recommend San Want to fellow travelers.
Restaurant Tip : Du Xiao Yue - Minced pork rice, just a street behind.
Xin Ye - Taiwanese porridge with lots of goodies, turn left out from hotel and walk for abt 10min.

Near to commercial area and MRT stations. Easy to move around to all parts of Taipei with MTT stations withing walking distant. San Want Hotel is value for money. It is cheaper to book it online via Agoda and try to book earlier to enjoy the big discount offered. Similar room if book via phone or walk it will be much higher. The location of San Want hotel indirectly help to save a lot of miscellaneous money spent on transportation. So it is highly recommended to try out this hotel during your next visit to Taipei.
Shopping Tip : Walk out of the hotel, turn left or right, there are many shopping areas.

Well, would like to say that not really much attacted me while i stayed, however, if yourself like quiet place, clean then you should go for it. I would not say dislike or weakness, but just a simple hotel I have ever stayed before. Overall San Want Hotel is all simple and quiet. I would recommend for those who travel alone for just to stay alone, perhaps this hotel will be your choice.
