I was surprised that there was no dinner available when I checked in, nor were there any vending machines or any other options. It was my own fault for not confirming that they had a restaurant, but I assumed (foolishly) that a hotel providing a full breakfast would also have restaurant facilities. I ended up ordering from Pizza Hut, of all places, which was the ONLY option I was given when I asked the front desk. (I discovered three small restaurants within easy walking distance the next morning, but they had no English menus.) Although the Pizza Hut food ended up being surprisingly good and interesting (lobster and abalone pizza with a spicy fish roe sauce!), I had to figure out how to order myself -- the front desk gave me a number written on a piece of paper, no help with ordering, and no menu. Thank goodness for the Internet where I was able to find the Taiwanese Pizza Hut menu! I also felt that the front desk staff could have done much more to help me find and/or order food.
The front desk was no help at all when I requested assistance with packing, wrapping and mailing a box. I understand that they do not provide packing, wrapping or mailing services, but I did expect a little direction or help.
However, I think my biggest frustration was when I decided to book a single night upon my return to Taipei, on my way home. The receptionist assured me TWICE that the price for the additional night would be the same as my booking through Agoda. When I arrived late in the evening for my second stay, the price was considerably more than for my first stay, and I was told "there is nothing we can do...this is the walk-in rate." I understand that Agoda gets special rates, but if I'd known I would pay more, I would have booked a hotel much closer to the airport and not come back to the Seasons Royal.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Yes, each room really does have a jacuzzi, complete with rainbow lights!

Transportation may be an issue, but that's more a factor of the city than the hotel. The hotel runs a mini-bus service to the airport and it is reasonably priced. Excellent choice business and leisure travelers alike.
