kind and helpful staff
great view from the room We enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La, but did not get to really take advantage of the pool, restaurants, or even the area around the hotel because we had to leave so early in the morning, and it was just an overnight stay while we had a layover. If we are back in Taipei, it would be our first choice of hotel.
Restaurant Tip : We recommend Thai Town just down the street.

Very comfortable rooms, centrally located to business area and shopping, range of eateries close by. Lack of entertainment options within the hotel. The Far Eastern Hotel has excellent standards of service and has nicely appointed rooms that are very comfortable. The hotel is well situated for both business meetings and shopping and has a range of eateries close by. The hotel pool situated on the top floor offers spectacular views over Taipei from all sides and has a very luxurious day spa area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Linjiang Street Night Markets are very close and offer a wide range of clothing specials

Convenient location.
Very nice and large room.
Rooftop pool and spa. Internet not free and very expensive. Stayed in the Executive Room. Room was excellent. Very large with sofa and chairs, large bath and separate large shower with tv in bathroom. Walk in wardrobe. Desk etc. Excellent view of Taipei 101 with day beds along the windows. Bar up stairs was very nice with excellent views, drinks pricy. Did not dine at the hotel. Staff and service was good. Hotel had a rooftop pool and spa which also had great views.

We stayed in a great hotel very cheaply. I was happy as a wife. I book that included breakfast and hotel booking is on the list as they were without breakfast. We offer tickets and breakfast.
