Good location
It is in the city centre and I can take a taxi to Taipei Rail Station in a cheap price, 80-125 Taiwan dollars only.

It is in the city centre and I can take a taxi to Taipei Rail Station in a cheap price, 80-125 Taiwan dollars only. However, the shuttle taking you to the airport is horrible. The shuttle picked up guests from different locations in the city, which nearly took 40 min to arrive at the Airport bus station. If I had been told about that, I would have taken a taxi to the airport, which would only take 900 Taiwan dollars. This can save a lot of time!

A 4-star hotel with a GREAT 4.5-star feel
Excellent front desk service, decently central location, rooms are sufficiently spacious with a touch of elegance, and a roof-top gym!

This Garden hotel is obviously a top choice given that many wedding ceremonies were held there during our short stay there

Nice hotel, good service. Gym is good, room is clean and spacious. Washroom is big enough, though bathtub is squarish.
Shopping Tip:
Ximending nearby

Not really close to subway therefore might be good for business but not for pleasure.

they free upgraded the stay to executive level. they rooms are just nice for two person's stay. is abt 10-15 mins walk to ximending and 5 mins walk to xiaonanmen station. need to walk a distance before you can see food. 7-11 is nearby. heard that there is a night market nearby which is strongly recommended by the locals for food not much for shopping. didn't go to the night market because we don't have enough time. they have a spa level too. the rooms are clean as well!

Service is good but location is not convenience

The location of the hotel is quite far away from Xiemen Station. It takes about 10 minutes walking and it is very hot during summer. The staff of the hotel is willing to help upon request. The room is very clean and comfortable.
Shopping Tip:
Walk to Xiemen takes 10 minutes. It is quite hot during summer.

Excellent location. Furbishing is new. No breakf

this is the second hotel we visited in taipei in the last 6 months. while better and slightly more expensive than the previous one, this a notch or two above. no breakfast is included but the supermarket opposite the street runs 24 hours. being close to ximen means close to everything, from hairdressing to fine local food. talking about food, we are much impressed by how taiwanese present fine food without making a fuss about it - it is part of daily life. for example, there is a noodle shop serving "pulled" noodles with the chef pulling every serving in the open, visible kitchen. this is something that would be put on show in some prestigous hotel in hong kong but in taipei, it is just a common franchised shop in many malls.
Restaurant Tip:
Good food close by - tons of it.
