Very clean, decent buffett

i think this hotel is a good value - comfy beds, decent gym (well, if you're into running), and never difficult to find a cab. i don't think i've ever waited more than 1 minute to grab a cab there.
the main reason i stay here is because of one of the best japanese restaurants i've been to in the city that is 5min walk away. great japanese salad, very fresh sushi, and extremely reasonably priced, despite the very nice interior.
the name of the restaurant is called the mitsui. ask the concierge and they'll direct you to it.

The hotel is in a nice location in the Jhonshan Pei Loo area and it is clean with a helpful and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet is excellent.

This was not my first time to stay at the hotel. I would surely recommend it for its very nice breakfast and the convenient location. I was a bit disappointed about the internet though, for business travelers this is a key point.

The hotel provides shuttle-bus to some tourist destinations on weekend, Wi-Fi access is everywhere!

My family and I enjoyed our 6-night stay in this hotel. We arrived early in the morning, but the staff told us that we can check in as soon as the room is available. While waiting, we were asked to wait in a lounge and served with some refreshment. We found the staff were very friendly, especially reception desk staff. You can barely throw any request/inquiry, such as directions to popular places, hail a taxi and even a coin laundry nearby. As we need to check out early in the morning, before we leave, they handed over a big box food container for our breakfast!

Great Location and decent rooms
Good location, Friendly staff, Free shuttles to Exhibition / important places

This is my first stay in Hotel Riviera Taipei and I was very very comfortable with the Rooms, House keeping and Friendly Reception .
I got very good help from the Reception Desk to identity the restaurants.
Free shuttles to Computex helped a lot and we used it for all the 5 days .
I enjoyed my stay and happy to visit again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
101 is nearby and you can use Hotel shuttles at designated timings.
Shinlin market is also nearby and you can use Zhongshan Elementary school Metro station
Taxis are not expensive in Taipei and drivers are very honest and helpful .

Recep and door man are great.

Both recep staffs and door man are quick response and highly recommended. The facilities are ok, clean and tidy.
The buffet is continental, but i hope can have more local breakfast.

Chose this area after advice from a local then chose this hotel after seeing positive reveiws on a popular travel site.
I agree the hotel is excellent & the service was fantastic but I found the location a little out the way.
Staff were very good, always very helpful & friendly.
Room was also of a very good standard & seemed good value.
Overall thought hotel was excellent but would prefer a more central location.
