Good location for transport
Clean, Tidy, Nice, Helpfull staff, Always easy to take a taxi, English tv channels.
8.3
The fitted carpet on the public area felt a bit stuffy. (but not worn out) I guess that´s the characteristic for a fitted carpet.

location is quiet convenient

Only 5 mins to subway station. Quiet old style hotel cause the key has to be returned everytime when you go out. A lot of Japanese businessmen and tourists. The room is quiet and spacious with all the TV channels. Not many shops around but close to Taipei station so that's not a problem.

Great location with reasonable price
7.7
For that price I think it's reasonable good bargain though earlier bookings may end you up in some other cheaper hotels in Xi Men Ding.
Toilet bowl is a tad too small. I stand 1.8M and my knees basically press against the sink rack when I sat down.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
San Dao Si MRT is just 5 minutes walk away.

At Least 4-Star Hotel
Clean and Spacious room, Centralised Location
8.7
Chosen this hotel as all the other hotels in XiMenDing have been fully occupied. At first didnt expect much, however the hotel standard was unexpected. Spacious and clean. Although there arent really any shops nearby, the hotel is nearby shandao mrt station which is quite centralised. No trouble no matter you want to travel to east or west, north or south. Breakfast choices quite standed and limited, however still not too bad.
Shopping Tip:
If you are looking for cheap deals, just visit the night markets.

Good hotel with value for money rooms rates
6.7
this hotel is cheap, but require to take a short walk of 5-20mins to any place that you want to go. there are a few options to do with this hotel location. you can take a 20mins walk to ximengding, 15mins walk to railway station, 5mins walk to the nearest metro station to get to most interesting area within a few stops. one thing about the hotel is the reception area. not too friendly, not too nice a welcome. but good rooms.

Big rooms, olden style designs.
6
Whole hotel has an olden Chinese ancient style furniture fittings & designs. Would prefer modern style type. Room is big, but still in olden decorative style; though these furnitures seemed to be of good quality, i still would prefer brighter furniture designs n a more modern looking room. To get to hotel, alight at Shan Dao Temple station; Exit 1; walk in a reverse direction to when u exit the subway station. Turn left at the first junction and walk for 3min till u see a petrol station on the right (across the road). Here, cross over to the side of petrol station n u will see a brown looking old building Beside it. That is the hotel; its Chinese name is Jia1 Mei3. Actually, it is within walking distance of ~5-6minute to the mrt; but I think it is better to choose other hotels which are located closer to the subways (those right beside the stations); for eg at the Taipei Main Station. Hotel service are satisfactory as with most hotels.
1 thing to note is the manual way of using keys to open the room door which require some technique in opening. It is quite inconvenient ; unlike other hotels which are using scanning sensors to open doors. Moreover, the hotel emphasizes the need to leave the keys with them at the Lobby whenever leaving the hotel to shop/eat/leisure; which felt weird. Prefer a more modern hotel in all.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nothing much near the hotel. Walk distance down the roads for some eatery or hop on the subway for more happening places.

Great location and comfortable rooms
Great location, within walking distance to shops and restaurants
7.7
Good size room for leisure and business stay. Plenty of open space in the middle of busy city is a bonus. Although it is located in town and plenty of taxi plying the road right at the hotel's door step, it is quiet in the night for decent sleep. It is a block away from the train station where it connects directly to the bustling Ximending at one end and a station near to Taipei 101 at the other end. For a quick change of line at the next station, one can take a comfortable ride to Shilin for night market visit.
One of the rare hotels in Taiwan to have twin-bedded rooms!

Great hotel with nice rooms
Small breakfast area but best taste!
6.3
booked this hotel for its good rates. 15mins walk to the railway station but 5mins walk to the nearest metro station just behind the hotel. hotel is always queued with empty taxis for good transfer to airport. the reception area is very small and staffs are not quite helpful with lugguages.
