Wonstar Hotel, Taipei

Won star hotel is in a good location in Taipei. It is a good value as it has a free breakfast, good coffee which I enjoyed, friendly and helpful staff and has a free internet useage in the lobby area. It is helpful that you get the name and address written in the local dialec and some drivers have a difficult time finding the hotel with a map or english named hotel/street names.

This hotel is recommended due to the friendliness of the staff although the english standard is difficult to understand at times. The free breakfast, free internet and location is a plus. The minus is drawer space for your clothes. It has a free refrigerator and two bottles of water (free) daily and also a safe to use.

We stayed at the Wonstar early this month we were very happy with our room alough the drapes did not fit the windows fully which let in the sreet light which was just outside our window but when I told the desk they fixed it so that was ok almost no English spoken at this hotel they did try to understand and the staff were always happy and smileing and we felt that they really wanted to make our stay there a happy one the hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas the bath rooms are great again very clean and a good selection of toiletries which were refilled everyday the only down side to the room was the noise from other rooms very loud tv in the next room but again when we told the desk staff they fixed it and the next night I just knocked on the door and the very young guy in the room turned it down . the breakfast's was very poor if you dont like asian style then it was just coffee/tea very sweet juice fried eggs and toast but for the price its was ok I would say this hotel would be great for young couples & singles all the staff were lovely and that makes for a big plus in my book.
