Clean, small room but neatly designed. Full TV channel and internet access. Check in time cannot be earlier than 3pm, Checkout time cannot later than 12noon, very rigid. Presentation of an image they are shortage of staff at the reception area, and room service. Paid for a decent room located near to the busy district of XiMengDing. As reference to other review I read, definitely not worth to stay more than a night. Provided with the ease of Taipei's MRT lines, I will recommend more comparison of other hotels off city area which may give better price and services of the same class.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : . there is a old shop selling nice goose meat just a few blocks from hotel walking towards the Exit6 of XiMeng Station.
. there is a store selling day-2-day toiletris just next to the hotel, most of the comestics i.e. mask, bb cream. Price is reasonable although not the cheapest, lookout for weekly promotions, good for last minute shopping if you don't want to wander too far.
. Food is average, so just go for a bite to taste and experience if you come across anything in particularly interesting to you.

Won Star Hotel is situated in a good location and good value for the money. Free Internet, free breakfast and good staff. English is not well spoken by some of the staff. Won star hotel is in a good location in Taipei. It is a good value as it has a free breakfast, good coffee which I enjoyed, friendly and helpful staff and has a free internet useage in the lobby area.
It is helpful that you get the name and address written in the local dialec and some drivers have a difficult time finding the hotel with a map or english named hotel/street names.

The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a fre internet in the lobby and breakfast usually comes with the room. Difficult for taxi drivers to find. This hotel is recommended due to the friendliness of the staff although the english standard is difficult to understand at times. The free breakfast, free internet and location is a plus. The minus is drawer space for your clothes. It has a free refrigerator and two bottles of water (free) daily and also a safe to use.

very clean rooms & exerlent bathroom poor breakfast almost no english spoken We stayed at the Wonstar early this month we were very happy with our room alough the drapes did not fit the windows fully which let in the sreet light which was just outside our window but when I told the desk they fixed it so that was ok almost no English spoken at this hotel they did try to understand and the staff were always happy and smileing and we felt that they really wanted to make our stay there a happy one the hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas the bath rooms are great again very clean and a good selection of toiletries which were refilled everyday the only down side to the room was the noise from other rooms very loud tv in the next room but again when we told the desk staff they fixed it and the next night I just knocked on the door and the very young guy in the room turned it down . the breakfast's was very poor if you dont like asian style then it was just coffee/tea very sweet juice fried eggs and toast but for the price its was ok I would say this hotel would be great for young couples & singles all the staff were lovely and that makes for a big plus in my book.

building facade look a bit old...but most of the buildings in taipei look old & run down htl lobby looks a bit old but room s ok except for the bed is too near to the door.u can also enjoy a very gd "5 points massage" shower" really gd...breakfast s simple but gd.

Good location for shopping & eating! A lot of shops nearby the hotel! Recommend you to try Nanajyoutatsu Japanese BBQ restaurant within short walking distance from the hotel. Good food and nice restaurant service staff!
