great service, located just at wu fen phu, but once u have finished shopping at wu fen phu, it will be very out of place to go anywhere, nearest mrt is houshanpi, 8 stations frm taipei main station ...

I'd always stay at the Wonstar located at Zhong Hua road.. d room is more or less d same as expected, clean, cozy & spacious enough. I kinda like d location here coz its at wufenpu whr u can shop til u drop for clothing.. raohe nite market can be reached by foot. Thr's a family mart just nxt to the hotel which is really convenient for us to buy some late night suppers or a few beers to chill. Will definitely consider to stay here again for my next trip.
Shopping Tip:
Hotel is located at wufenpu area which is a shopping heaven for fashion.

Great location , clean right size room

i stayed in wonstar hotel for a night on 4th oct 2011. the hotel is located conveniently near the street just 10 mins walk outside songshan train station.
a seven storey hotel that obscured located between shops in the area of beside wu fen pu area which is famous for cheap bargain of cloths.
clean modern room with a 32 inch tv. toilet was impeccablly clean and the service desk personnels have service with a smile.
not expensive hotel and worth the stay there.
average breakfast, porriadge and western food on level 9th.
Shopping Tip:
hotel conveniently located beside wu fen pu area which is famous for cheap bargain of cloths.

Great location but small rooms
Right outside Wufenpu. Turn left or right its just right there.

Tiny room with weird layout. Bed was facing directly on the toilet bowl when toilet doors are opened. But overall stay was good. Bath tubs and free wifi. Very clean indeed. free complimentary drinks, infact everything in the room is complimentary. Keys with huge keychain which has to be given to the reception before leaving the hotel which i wonder if it is safe as no identification was asked when retrieving the key. Friendly and helpful staff. Food is everywhere, foot steps away from the entrance.Very pleasing stay for a budget hotel.
Travel tip:
No private money changer. All money changer are by post offices and banks. Bank closes at 3.30pm. Post office at 5.30pm. Major currency accepted only. So do make sure that you change enough money back home first.

Might be the only hotel at Wu Fen Pu area

Small hotel but many floors. Entrance is hard to find as it is between shops and the entrance is about 2-man wide.
Lobby on the 2nd floor manned by 2 staff usually. Very polite and helpful staff.
Rooms are clean but old. Aircon is a common floor aircon type and cannot adjust the temperature.

Small hotel with friendly staff

The lobby is located at the 2nd floor while most rooms are located at the higher floors. The Staff is helpful to provide maps of the area for me to travel around the area. Bathroom and Bedroom is clean, but our room on the 7th floor had a loose aircon vent that fell off the celling in the middle of the night, which was a health hazard. Although the staff tried to fix the vent, they were not able to and changed the room for us. The aircon was hard to control (only on / off, small / large draft).
Shopping Tip:
Since it is located right at Wu Fen Pu the fashion wholesale area of Taipei, shopping is a must. It will be hard to bargain if you're buying 1 - 2 pieces, but in large quantities it is possible to get a good price.

the staff there is really nice and helpful, introduce us so many good places to visit. the hotel is also need railway and night market, very convenient for you to rest for a while and go out again

My friends and I stayed in the triple deluxe room. It was a very nice room. The staff helped us plan our day's adventures.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you get a chance, ask about the gondulas. They will take you up to a mountain where you can have tea. It's about 30 min away by taxi, but worth the trip.

the staff are very friendly and will help you to source for information even if they are unsure. easy access to wufenpu where you can shop every evening during your stay in the hotel. train station, mrt and buses are very convenient too. will have no hesitation to stay in this hotel again, cheap and clean and friendly staff.

just walk about 10 minutes from high speed train station. hotel is beside wufenpu shopping area. clean room, but no window in the room. it is okay for budget traveller. To MRT Housanpi is walk about 15 minutes.
Shopping Tip:
this area is a shooping heaven.
