Old, small but clean hotel
near but away from the noise of ximending

the room is really small and old but at least its clean and basic amenities are there and of course with free wifi!
its pretty convenient location, walking dist from exit of MTR and the happening ximending.
but if you want to be in the thick of action of ximending then this isnt the hotel to chose as this hotel is on the opp street of ximending but it works fine for me cos i can have quiet nite of sleep.

i booked 2 rooms and duration of stay was 5 days. overall, i am satisfied with the service rendered. the rooms were a bit small but acceptable. wi-fi was available in all floors with good connection speed. rooms were cleaned up very fast. they were done upon return from breakfast. the drawbacks were that both rooms were at different floors and that the hotel was strict on no late check out. i had to pay ntd for checking out 1 of the room at 2pm.
overall, for the price paid, it was worth it, especially it's close proximity to ximending and taipei main station.

The hotel was really close to Ximending for the price and the rooms were clean and alright. The rooms on the 12th floor were older though. Breakfast provided was a home cooked meal with porridge and bread. It was alright.
There is a Party World KTV that is just 5 minutes walk away that is really good and cheap. We sang for 5 hours (12am - 5am) with student rate for only about S$10!

The reception lobby is clean and seems like renovated recently. However, when we went up to the room level, it likes a 80s' hotel without maintenance for 30 years. Wooden hollow room door which likes broken easily. One figure of the room number was lost and replaced by another of different set of number. Heard the sound of neighboring rooms. The lights are coated with a layer of dust.
I m not sure other if these rooms are only few of non-renovated rooms because I m checking in at midnight. I don't think a hotel can offer rooms like that to her client. I checked out in the next morning and need to pay for one more night!

An OK hotel, functional but not brilliant

The room was not great at all. It was small and there were stains on the single seater couch. The wardrobe and other furniture looks old. The toilet is also dated but at least it has good hot shower. Location is ok, about 10 mins walk to train station. Will stay some where else for the same price next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The metro MRT is a good and economical way to check out Taipei.

the location is good and it is about 5 mins walk to the ximending night market and 10 mins walk to the taipei station. the hotel rate is reasonable given its good location. the room is normal but the bed is rather big. the breakfast is typical taiwan food, like porridge buffet, noddle, etc which is nothing special.

The hotel is pretty easy to find, although being tucked into a small corner.
As I was travelling taiwan free and easy, I wanted to book a tour to yeliu. Delighted to find that they off tour services. Despite staying for just one night, the staff extended the services to me and offered to pick me up from another location.
Breakfast was not like conventional hotel with the usual fest. Buffet style with hot beverages, toast, porridge and other condiments. The food has a homely feel to it, as though eating at a friend's house.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A short 5-10min walk to Ximending. Great for people whose main focus is on shopping!
