The check in time was supposed to be 3pm. However, we only checked in at 530pm as the previous guests did not check out on time. When we requested for refund from the owner of the room, we were not allowed to do so. The whole room was not cleaned and it smelled of disgusting cigarette smell. Not a good hotel to go to if you want clean air.

We booked 3 single room at Ximen star, two of them was very nice , but one of them was small and dirty!All rest room seems small and not clean enough. But there location is very close to Ximenting so, good food everywhere!

Check-in was in order despite the very last minute online booking (10 hours before arrival at the hotel). Checking in and out was relatively simple and fast. Internet, TV and basic room services available. Close proximity to the famous Ximending area and a 10-min walk to MRT station is a plus! Very affordable choice.

more of a service apartment than hotel. attentive staff who reacts immediately to any issues or concerns about the room. clean room with daily change of toiletries and making of beds. no other "hotel" facilities other than the room though.

Loved our room and especially at such an affordable rate. Bathroom was not great as the window blind blocking sight to the shower was spotted with black marks and was really dingy. There was no shower curtain resulting in wet bathroom floors each time we took our showers.
We realised that it was actually a residential building when we asked and were eventually denied by the the front desk access to the rooftop pool.
Front desk staff whom WE greeted were cold and unhelpful. We learnt that they were actually part-timers. One of the full-time front desk staff and another operations guy were accommodating and quick to assist.
Ximending and the Ximen metro is about six minutes walk away. Food options were easily available around the hotel.
