This is my first time staying at Taipei on my own and I would like to find a place at the most convenient location such that I can easily travel here and there. Y Hotel situated right next to the Taipei Main station MRT station and is very close to the bus stops of many major routes and it only takes me a very short walk "home" whens I'm done with my day; this is especially important when the weather is miserable.
The room is clean and neat with very stable wifi connection, but it would be better if there can be more electrical outlets for charging.
Staffs are nice and helpful.

the staff very friendly,good location and just 1 thing i wan to comment is the bed linen .....i feel itchy when sleep...coz they change everyday but i think is not clean..overall is ok if u plan to go taiwan to have fun

Near railway but the facilities are old

the hotel is near to the mrt and railway station. there is about 5 minutes and 10 minutes to go to the mrt and railway station respectively. it also near to the shopping areas. however, the facilities in room are old and the beds were not large enough hence i did not feel very comfortable.

Fantastic Location but outdated decor

it was only a one night stay. didn't quite like the outdated decor. but it was very spacious and clean.
the location was fabulous. a minute walk from the taipei main station (exit m6 , just behind caeser hotel)
near eateries... on that night we found a eatery selling fermented beancurd and mee sua just 5 minutes walk away. delicious.
the location is fantastic for those who do not mind the outdated decor.

the y hotel is right across from the transit central of taipei -- you can get around by train, high-speed rail, subway right there. the room was not big, but sufficient and clean.

Great location as it's 3 mins walk to MRT station. Room is big and there's free WIFI. Staff is very helpful and speaks English.
