This Hotel is well priced and well located.
It has MRT only 2 blocks away and many restaurants are right around it. The Yomi is in the center of things with MRT so close you can get anywhere easily and cheaply. The staff takes very good care of you and are always willing to go the extra mile and help you. They speak English quite well, so they are a good resource for arranging reservations, etc. They know the city and do not mind advising about activities you can do.
They are top notch for a medium priced Hotel.
Nightlife Tip : After 8:00 PM it gets lively near Nongan area (about 4 blocks from Yomi)

close to MRT, great TV, free Internet, very helpful staff The Yomi has been a repeat and each time it is as good as the previous. They are consistent and caring. If I need help with an address they are willing to look it up and write it in Chinese for the taxi driver.
The location is great. It is 2 blocks to the MRT and very lively night life. The night life does not start until 8:00 PM so take your time and enjoy a nice meal at one of the many restaurants in the area.

close to MRT
active night life with 4 blocks
many restaurants This is getting repetitive, the Yomi is certainly worth a look. It is in a good area and is near the MRT if you wish to check out other spots. Taxis are very frequent as well. I have never waited more than 1 minute for a taxi to be flagged down.

free internet, free breakfast, free coffee and snacks, nice location ironing can only be done at a common area. we enjoyed our stay. we were quite surprised with the 'free' stuff they provided. complimentary snacks and fruits are provided in the room. they have a common are where you could use the computers and internet for free, to make coffee and have snacks like cakes, biscuits and icecream, a mini gym and laundry facilities. the only downside is we have to go to this area every morning to have our clothes ironed. very friendly and helpful staff. nicely located near the MRT station, and easily connected to the airport by a bus.

32" LCD TV two stations away from the taipei railway station which is counted as a little bit far

Music in room is good if it can be connnected with MP3. (The music there is too classic!) I am quite happy with the room size and decoration. Quite well decorated with 32" LCD TV and DVD player though you may not spend time to watch DVD. The two speakers over the bed is a good design but the music is too classic. Better if you can connect your MP3 to it and enjoy the music you like. To me, the breakfast is good (Asian style). The gym is too too too small (less than 200sq ft). Strictly speaking it can't be counted as a gym as there is no weight training facilities. For the price it charges (HK$550 incl svc/tax charge), the hotel is not bad but may not be good enough for me to come back again.

Close to MRT - but there are others as well

Price - mid to low budget
Very noisy - paper thin wall and no enforcement of the early morning quiet period. Yomi is close to transportation, and they offer rides with appointment although relucently. My room was clean with a bit of residual smoke smell. The breakfast has slight variations from day-to-day, but getting there early is the key. They don't tend to re-loaded consumed items.
My biggest problem is noise. They don't enforce their no noise policy. The walls are paper thin. Other guest(s) around me decided to have loud conversations for all three nights I was there making sleeping somewhat challenging. I heard every movement on the hallway. The staff was polite, but not extremely helpful.
Overall, this hotel offers low price and convenient location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Airport bus stops at the Ambassbor Hotel close by. Be on time, I miss the bus by seconds, the driver would not let me in and I had to take a taxi for NT 1000 instead of NT 110.

Just the first step I get into the room, wow it so nice and fully equipped of facilities. The 2 wide screen LCD HDTV are wonderful and the sauna room in toilet is a special feature for this hotel when compare to the others in same level. I get the mini suite room despite I pay only standard room.I think this is a value for money hotel that I never met before. For sure my next trip to taipei will stay overnight at YOMI again. The breakfast is quite a boring service, there are a few kinds of food and for my 2 night stay, the ABF still unchanged. Near MRT system, Just walk 15 minutes to shongshan station and 20 minute to Tailpei main station. The main lobby's space is very small but not my problem because never sit overthere. The front girl can speak english well and very helpful to give requested information, my friend call me while I am out of the room but she keep me a messeage to call back my friend. Many thanks for room service to make my room tidy and the welcome fruit and free snak are alway be top-up.
Hotel Feature Tip : The sauna room in toilet is very special service from this hotel, you will never find this feature in the same price/level hotel.

Very clean rooms, extremely friendly staff, convenient location, cheap rates It was a great experience staying at the Yomi Hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and rooms get cleaned twice a day!!!! You get free bicycles and the free use of Wii if you like!
Pleanty of snacks and water for free everyday!

Free shuttle service, new and clean. Quite expensive comparing with other 3 stars hotels. This is my first time to stay in this hotel. Overall speaking, it is easy to locate and is situated in the center of the town. Sight seeing is convenient, as the hotel is well located in one of the busiest town in Taiwan. The perks on staying in YOMI are the free shuttle service offered and fairly clean rooms contrast to the other 3-star hotels. However, there are more café shops than restaurants. This makes it difficult to decide for a satisfying meal in a comfortable environment because most restaurants in Taipei are dirty.

Great location wonderfully near the MRT and surrounded by eateries and convenience stores round every corner. Also fabulous service from the hotel receptionists. Hotel room was great, clean, quiet. Nothing much except that to be really unnecessarily picky, the breakfast spread was a little sparse and they kept running out of cutlery and plates/bowls - we had to wait for a while before they brought out new ones. But this is being pedantic really, the service was still friendly and the food was still pretty good. Yomi was situated at a really ideal spot, probably less than a 100m straight walk away from the Shuanglian MRT and near a variety of great eats (guo tie, steamed bao, Japanese cuisine etc) and convenient stores.
Our superior twin room was clean and well kept with full functioning facilities including a strong hairdryer (always a plus!), inbuilt adaptor (so visitors from foreign countries using the 3 pin plug don't need to bring their own adaptor), bedroom slippers, etc. Shower facilities were good as well. For a reasonably priced hotel, we certainly didn't expect so much.
The hotel receptionists were readily helpful and courteous and were available 24/7. We shut our key inside our room once and the hotel staff opened the door for us with not a squeak of complaint.
Another point that was nice - Yomi has a deposit-your-room-key-at-the-front-desk system that saves a lot of hassle.
We will definitely return to Yomi for our next Taipei trip!
Restaurant Tip : My sister was really enamoured of the 'big intestine mee sua' she discovered towards the other side of Yomi (the direction away from the Shuanglian MRT), sold by a lady with a pushcart. She had it for breakfast and has been raving about how yummy it was ever since.

Excellent location....5 minutes walk to MTR station
and less than 40NT ( US$12 ) cab fare to Taipei main station. Courtesy transportation to metro taipei with 12 hours advance notice. Complimentary breakfast is very good and has many varietites. It would be nice to shorten the advance notice to
2 or 3 hours for courtesy private car service. The courtesy car is sitting by the hotel idle anyway.
Close to a hospital, sound of siren from ambulance
woke me up a couple of nights in the middle of the night. The location of the hotel is very convenience...within 5 minutes walk to MTR station and 40NT cab fare to Taipei main train station. There are plenty of eateries, good shopping and good foot message places within walking distance.
It is a nice touch to have instant noodle soup and
some snack and a hotpot in the room. The business center is well equipped with computers and printers and even a message chair.

YOMI is a very convenience and budgeted hotel. Location is perfect, few step away of a mrt station. The only bad thing for me to minus the point is the breakfast, i stayed here for 3 night, and it seem the breakfast menu is always the same, the food is terrible. 1 more thing i have to stated particularly is the breakfast is until 10am but however when we go there 9.30am, the breakfast is always almost empty and the staff there doesn't seem to refill it and answer me they will not practice to refill after 9.30am!

clean room, comfortable mattress and pillows and good location! The lobby looked a little bit dated. It's a pleasant experience staying at YOMI Hotel. In the beginning, I got kind of disappointed when I entered the hotel as the lobby looked kinda dated, maybe cos of the lighting. But when I got out of the lift to my room which located on 8/F, the impression changed. The corridor was nicely decorated, clean and bright enough. And the staff was helpful, I had difficulty opening the door of my room, the staff responded to my request right away. Though the room was small, it's really clean and comfortable. There were two complimentary bottles of water every day and free breakfast buffet. There wasn't a wide selection of food, but it's nice enough as it's free, the bun was nice and I like the congee too, basic Taiwanese breakfast. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. I would recommend this hotel to others. It's near the metro station, just walk straight for about 3 minutes you can get there and there are many restaurants along the path.

There are a few good services provided:
1. One Free transfer within Taipei (to & fro)
2. Variety of breakfast
3. Free Bicycle ride
4. Good welcome fruit basket & snack
5. Magazines & Newspaper at every floor
6. Nice LCD TV There are stains along the side of the tiles in the bathroom. It is a friendly hotel with excellent services, good location, comfortable room and nice breakfast. I like the free transfer within Taipei, free bicycle rental eventhough I didn't use the services, magazine & newspaper in every floor, nice LCD TV. If not because of my personal reason, I would extend extra night in the hotel. I also noticed that during the day the hotel staff opens the door at the end of the corridor to clear the smoking smell.
