Reception is fine, but limited services provided, no wifi actally, but a good, clean and hot-spring hostel. you can enjoy hot-spring bath at your room.
Not much people you can meet because it is a seperate residual blocks apart from the reception, no public gathering area as a common hostel.
5 mins walk to railway station and 5 mins walk to dine out

Great hotel with fantastic service

I stayed here for one night after doing a three day trek in the central mountains. Tong Wei Hostel manages several rooms in what otherwise looks like a relatively new residential apartment block. The rooms are very large and well equipped, including a large spa bath which was great for aching legs! The staff were amazing, including helping me with directions to the local waterfalls, great restaurant recommendations, lending a laptop etc. The Vietnamese-Chinese restaurant next door and the Taiwanese restaurant across the road serve excellent, cheap food. Its a little way out from the town centre but worth the trip...
