The 3 night stay was not as good as expected. the weekend staff spoke little english. there was no coffee/tea making machine in room, but i borrowed a kettle. the staff were trying to help, but communication was difficult. the internet was very bad, and it was impossible to use wifi in my room, as expected. the breakfast was uninterestng and not the standard i had hoped. the massage was closed, due to sickness and the staff, though all very pleasant, seemed not to care very much about helping us with trips.

The staff was friendly. The hotel condition is old with acceptable cleanness.
The worst is breakfast. They served cheap ham, sausage, fried egg, salad, sandwich bread, coffee and tea. The taste was terrible. It's not variety. I couldn't choose anything to eat. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL WITH BREAKFAST. You should save 100 baht/person to have a better meal.

I enjoyed staying at the Ayothaya Hotel. The room was good, staff were very helpful when I decided to check in again for another half day while I waited for the train. The swimming pool is a bit small, it felt crowded with 4 people in it. Also, if you rent bikes from hotel be warned the tyres will probably be flat in 1 hr.
There is a kfc 2 mins to the left of the hotel and there are motorbike taxis across the road infront of the 7-11.

The room was renovated with new facilities except for the toilet door. The beds are ok but could have been better if they were fixed on the spot. Good location and affordable price. Would recommend to stay of a night or two.

I have stayed in many 5 star and budget hotels during my years in thailand. This hotel falls into the later category but is without doubt the best of its price range i have stayed in.It is centrally located,clean and has a pool all for 550baht per night.Hotels of this age normally still have the original dark musky old carpets so it was a refreshing change to see the bedrooms are tiled which gave a light and airy feel.It is definitely better than many of the mid-ranged priced hotels in ayutthaya namely the krungsi river and riverside hotels.I scored the room highly on comfort and standard in relation to price.I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget.
