Good size bedroom, facing the river and if you're going there by train it's just 5 minutes walk from train station.
It's not very centrally located, so whenever i need to go anywhere i have to hired a driver. The hotel is still using the old tv set and since there isn't much things to do in Ayutthaya at night, it'll be great if there is dvd or vcd player in the room.
Seems like there aren't many hotel in Ayuttaya, so there isn't much choices to choose from. Rooms size is good but the decor is a bit out-dated but the price is quite reasonable. Breakfast starts from 6-10am, and it has quite a variety to choose from.

Had a nice stay for one night, the buffet breakfast wasn't too bad. Staff are helpful... rooms are nice too. Good sized pool and very central location. but there's not too much going on in Ayutthaya.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a motorbike from the lady across from the railway station, it will cost you 200 baht or so per day and is very reputable. Don't pay more than this for a motorbike.
Buy your own lock in case, i got one from the mall for like 32baht and its a good idea to prevent the companies stealing back motorbikes and charging you for a new one (it can be quite common in thailand, strictly a preventative measure). Put the locka round the disk brake.

Very comfortable hotel, big rooms, good but formal service, good breakfast, very nice restaurant by the river
To get to histotical parts you have to take a ferry (very short trip though) and cross not so nice part of the city
The hotel is very close to the train station -walkable distance, even with a big luggage. It seems it accommodates a lot of tours as there were always big group of people around. The same at the breakfast time. The historical sites are quite far away - you have to cross the river by ferry and walk through not very nice part of the city. But our room was big, bathroom clean, so nothing to complain about. The staff was formal, not very warm like at another hotels in Thailand, but it was OK.

Spacious Lobby area and Check in counters, Well kept gardens on the river bank, Sumptous breakfast
Extra charges for internet usage in the room, No iron in the room, Hard to locate by taxi
I had a mixed impression of my stay for two nights at this hotel. Even though the staff at the check in counter was courteous, they could not help with certain services like extra charges of 300 Baht per day for internet usage in the room. Request for Iron was also denied. On the plus side, it was a good value for money especially since I booked it with Agoda at special discounted rate.

The location on the key songtheow route into old town and out to highway malls was convenient.
Hotel staff were very unhelpful, arrogant even. They were not knowledgeable about transportation, misinformed about tourist sites and hours of operation, not helpful with making phone calls even. Even internet access at 50 baht per hour would be reasonable, except that they have a one hour minimum, when all we needed to do was check for email. All other hotels allowed short time usage. This was the least helpful hotel staff we encountered in all of Thailand.
Our stay at the Krung Sri River Hotel in Ayutthaya turned out to be a disappointing experience, largely because the hotel staff was not very helpful or informed about their city. The hotel itself was adequate with a clean room, well air-conditioned and its location is convenient as it is half-way between the old tourist town and the highway mall. It sits along the songtheow route which is efficient and at 7 baht per ride was the best and cheapest way to get around town. However, the staff informed us that the tourist sites were "closed for the holiday" when in fact they were open. They insisted we could only get around with taxis and tuk-tuks which are very pricey. Even the breakfast staff was arrogant and aloof and not very helpful. After several positive hotel experiences in Khon Kaen, Udon Thani and Bangkok, the Krung Sri River Hotel was a disappointment.

Great room, big bed, nice river view, quiet location, buffet breakfast of very high standard
reception allocated me a room which was meant for someone else and had their name on the envelope. This meant I had to relocate 15 minutes after settling in.
This hotel is the best I've stayed in Ayutthaya. It's right on the river and close to the railway station and ferry. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped with minibar, hairdrier, etc. The staff are very pleasant and the hiccup at reception was I think due to a mixup with names. I look forward to staying there again next October. Definitely one of the best deals in Thailand
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : close to the railway and cafes, close to river ferry for market

Rooms are very large and clean. Price is good. Personnel is smiley and speaks a good English
The look of the hotel is a bit antiquate. It could be judged better for a convention than for holiday times. It is not really in the town and you need a motorbike or tuk-tuk to enjoy the place
Good value for money.

Near the train station.
Front desk support was excellent.
Too far to the entertainment area.
Massage was too expensive compared with the other hotels. Late opening time of the gym.
The breakfast was not original Thai food.
The 1st floor pub was not so interesting.
I would suggest them to open the training gym much faster. The current opening time is 14:00pm.
Restaurant Tip : Nice riverside restaurant near by the hotel.

Most of the hotel's facilities seemed to be closed due to low season.
We were happy to pick the Krungsri River. At check in, a guest was trying to transfer from another hotel in Ayuthaya which was very poor. The room was very good, and well located for a couple of massage parlours and conveninence stores. The temples a tuk tuk ride away - the drivers have a bit of a monopoly but can be bargained down. The breakfast was OK, but much of the hotel was quiet during low season. A pity the river side bar/restaurant was closed. The staff were OK; notihng special, but overall good value for money. Tip. A cheap river crossing available just down the road takes you to one of the main markets. And the temples are fantastic.
Nightlife Tip : Get a tuk tuk into the main town. Have a drink in the cowboy bar, then we had a very good Japanese/Korean meal at a next door restaurant. Quiet nightlife.

easy to find
good breakfast
good view
big room
staff is not so fluent with english
we stayed in the hotel for two days. The view of the
river is good.the restaurant along the river is
nice.we had a little problem with bed bugs though.
but all in all its a good hotel with a good location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : you will get tuk-tuks from outside but don't take
the ones right outside the hotel the will ask for more.walk along the road for 5 min to get a tuk-tuk at a reasonable price, possibly around 150-200baht for 3 places.

it is the most established and probably the largest hotel in Ayudthaya; full facility in hotel; well equipped; staff are professional and courteous
hotel is located near the river next to the main road but the road into the hotel is quite complicated - even my taxi had trouble finding its way to the entrance
Krungsri River Hotel is probably the best hotel in Ayudthaya. Full facility include a clean swimming pool and good buffet breakfast. Everything is fine, except for a case of bed bug infestation in my room. My son was bitten all over his body (and i had requested the hotel to get pest control service to clean up that room upon my checkout). Very unfortunate to have this in my room (Room 204)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tut-tut at hotel entrance may charge high so take a short walk out of the hotel via the middle lane o the 4-lane road to get across the river. Watch out for traffic. The outer lanes of the main road are 'expressway' where your taxi will not get you back to the entrance. Ayudthaya is really a small city and the historic park is within walking distance. I walked through the whole city visiting all the sites within one day.

Location, not far from the city center and the monuments. Clean, friendly staff. Breakfastbuffet.
Older looking room, but overall ok ! Big hotel, no local style.
The Krungsri River hotel is a perfect for a short stay. It's very close to the railwaystation and it's a clean hotel. There are not much cosy restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Overall a positive stay but the hotel has a lack on local style.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you wanna see the towns monuments (where the most people are comming for I think ...), pay less than 500 THB a you can have a drive around town and his monuents.

Nice large room. Good location. Good food in the cafe along with great service.
No internet access. Some front desk staff unfriendly.
Their internet access did not work the entire time (two days) we were there; no reason given. The elevators stop at the second floor where the front desk is located but do not go to the first floor where the cafe is located; you must take stairs. The breakfast buffet was pretty extensive with mostly asian selections. The food in the cafe was very good and the service was outstanding. The front desk staff was generally friendly and helpful except for one. The price for massage was very high. A pretty good hotel but with some detractors. Don't think I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a good location and it is well kept.
The transport system in the city is not good.
The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The area where the hotel is located is good and the hotel is well maintained. The room is spacious and everything looks in very good order.
The breakfast provided was varied and good. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and would recommend it to someone else.
