easy to find good breakfast good view big room

staff is not so fluent with english

we stayed in the hotel for two days. The view of the river is good.the restaurant along the river is nice.we had a little problem with bed bugs though. but all in all its a good hotel with a good location.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : you will get tuk-tuks from outside but don't take the ones right outside the hotel the will ask for more.walk along the road for 5 min to get a tuk-tuk at a reasonable price, possibly around 150-200baht for 3 places.

it is the most established and probably the largest hotel in Ayudthaya; full facility in hotel; well equipped; staff are professional and courteous

hotel is located near the river next to the main road but the road into the hotel is quite complicated - even my taxi had trouble finding its way to the entrance

Krungsri River Hotel is probably the best hotel in Ayudthaya. Full facility include a clean swimming pool and good buffet breakfast. Everything is fine, except for a case of bed bug infestation in my room. My son was bitten all over his body (and i had requested the hotel to get pest control service to clean up that room upon my checkout). Very unfortunate to have this in my room (Room 204)

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tut-tut at hotel entrance may charge high so take a short walk out of the hotel via the middle lane o the 4-lane road to get across the river. Watch out for traffic. The outer lanes of the main road are 'expressway' where your taxi will not get you back to the entrance. Ayudthaya is really a small city and the historic park is within walking distance. I walked through the whole city visiting all the sites within one day.

Location, not far from the city center and the monuments. Clean, friendly staff. Breakfastbuffet.

Older looking room, but overall ok ! Big hotel, no local style.

The Krungsri River hotel is a perfect for a short stay. It's very close to the railwaystation and it's a clean hotel. There are not much cosy restaurants in the neighbourhood. Overall a positive stay but the hotel has a lack on local style.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you wanna see the towns monuments (where the most people are comming for I think ...), pay less than 500 THB a you can have a drive around town and his monuents.

Nice large room. Good location. Good food in the cafe along with great service.

No internet access. Some front desk staff unfriendly.

Their internet access did not work the entire time (two days) we were there; no reason given. The elevators stop at the second floor where the front desk is located but do not go to the first floor where the cafe is located; you must take stairs. The breakfast buffet was pretty extensive with mostly asian selections. The food in the cafe was very good and the service was outstanding. The front desk staff was generally friendly and helpful except for one. The price for massage was very high. A pretty good hotel but with some detractors. Don't think I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a good location and it is well kept.

The transport system in the city is not good.

The hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The area where the hotel is located is good and the hotel is well maintained. The room is spacious and everything looks in very good order. The breakfast provided was varied and good. I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and would recommend it to someone else.

The hotel had everything we needed, including a swimming pool and a nice restaurant at the river. No complaints about room and service. The breakfast buffet had the usual european food as well as an extensive selection of asian dishes and fruits. We really enjoyed our stay at the Krungsri River.

Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel is near to a bridge. If you travel by car you have to cross under the big bridge to reach it. From the old city take the middle lanes for the older and smaller bridge, from the east take the lanes left of the bridge.

Very close to Railway station (5min walk).Clean, large room, good breakfast.

Remote from the attractions.

A good delux hotel. The access from the railway station is excellent, just 5 minutes walk alongside the railway toward Bangkok. Inconvenient to the main attractions. We took a ferry (4 bahts) in front of the railway station every day and rented bicycles to visit the major attractions and shopping area.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Cross the river by ferry (4 bhats) for major attractions.

Quick check-in, lovely hotel of what I would consider 4 star. Very quiet. Great breakfast with a lot of variety in both Thai and Western Food. We found after taking Tuk Tuk's around and spending 100 baht you could just walk 5 minutes to a ferry which crossed the river to the tourist shops and restaurants for just 2 baht. On the riverside where the hotel is the cost of the restaurants and open markets is way less. There is a 7 eleven store just a close walk also. Make sure you have a banana roti, delicious. I will definately stay at this hotel when I return next year.

Friendly staff, gorgeous hotel

None

We stayed at this hotel on two different occasions on our 2 month visit to Thailand. It was a hotel I will definitely return to again when we go next year. Gorgeous lobby and nice rooms. We had a beautiful view of the river. The second time we returned we felt as though we were coming home, they remembered our names even before we went to the reception desk. It was first class all the way and for the price we were pleasantly surprised. The best buffet breakfast we had on our trip with great variety and a lot of staff making sure your every need was taken care of.

Travel tip : Walk 5 minutes to the ferry for 2 Baht instead of the 100 or more the tuk tuks ask to take you to the same location. There are no taxi's in Ayutthaya so the tuk tuks seem to take advantage of that.

Walkind distance from the train, Great breakfast.

Rooms a little drab.

This hotel is a typical 3 star hotel. The rooms were clean and large but a little dated. The hotel is walking distance from the train station. It is also walking distance from bike rental so you can explore all the ruins. Very good breakfast, very large buffet with a good variety of food.

Good location, relatively new.

Noise between rooms is high because nearly all rooms are connecting. Staff is unfriendly for Thailand, poor attitudes and concepts of service. They've never heard the customer is always right, for them the customer is wrong and a bother.

Connecting rooms may be desireable for families, but a hotel with nearly all connecting rooms is not so much family friendly as it is hostile to those guests who value peace, quiet and privacy. While I did get an excellent rate from Agoda on the hotel room, many travelers will loose that benefit through extremely high (for Thailand) charges for routine services such as internet, calls, laundry, minibar etc. Better hotels offer free internet, but this one has the "all the traffic will bear" approach to charges. Disputing one of their over-priced charges led to a 15 minute delay in check out. When my traveling companions started to complain, I was forced to just pay and leave even tho the charge was unjustified. They want to be a business hotel, but have little understanding of what makes a hotel business friendly. Finally in warmth and courtesy of the staff seemed more stereotypically Germanic than Thai.

Only the breakfast is fine (value for money).

We booked a non-smoking room but we got bad smelling room. We did not complain since we stayed only for one night.

During check-in the floor is under renovation, which is not comfortable for guests.

Nightlife Tip : Enjoy the light up temple, very beautiful at night. Pay tuk tuk Baht 250 for the trip (abt 1 hour).

Reception staff.

Travel tip : the road and railway...it was far too close. But obviously lots of beautiful temples!

Nice and clean room, great view,

-restaurants are overpriced

We liked the hotel very much. Restaurants and bars are fantastic, maybe a little bit overpriced! Unfortunatelly next room was under reconstruction, so there was noise, but at least we didn' t need any morning call:-) If we go to Ayutthaya again, will choose this hotel again definitelly!!
