In a quiet soi this new retro-inspired boutique hotel will make you few miles away crowded Bangkok. An excellent location places you in the residential neighborhood of Ekamai, and within walking distance to the sky train, which connects guests to business as well as shopping districts in the Thai capital. Also within walking distance are several popular nightclubs such as JET and a movie theater. The restaurant and bar by the poolside is an excellent place for a late lunch or drinks before you head out for a night on the town. With less than 20 rooms, it is a relatively small property, but it comes with all the amenities expected of a top-class hotel. The enviable location and trendy interiors will make it difficult to forget 72 Ekamai @ Sukhumvit Hotel.

Very clean inexpensive hotel, great for a short stopover
no elavator but very strong young porter who humped my very heavy suitcase up to flights of stairs
Was given a suite as the hotel was over booked which was very nice of them. Rooms extremely spacious and bed firm but comfortable.
All furniture in the room looked like it was out of IKEA, not bad though and staff very attentive and friendly.
Breakfast was very basic but suffiecient

Modern / Cool / Simple clean design
Logging on Internet - too short periods before re-logging with passwo0rd etc / security at the back door on the balcony - looks easy to get in doors and windows
I thought the hotel was very cool - all aspects of the workings have beed thought well - i like the simple design and the cool finishes -
The rooms are clean and nice and quiet
Great spot to watch TV and a good area to work on in the kitchen area - very handy to have a seperate kitchen and drinks area
Esspesially the Bar at the pool - nice seats - very relaxing
People very helpfull
Little bit outside of town but taxi and train soon get you into the center at low cost
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : really easy to access town - bus and train

Rooms, staff, quiet location, cool area, food is good
This place is such a great find, can't wait to come back. The pictures don't really do it justice. It's a small boutique hotel, with great design features throughout. The room is amazing, spacious, beautiful colours. The staff are cool, friendly and helpful - shout out to you Joseph! These guys know their stuff. The hotel has a nice pool and restuarant area. When I stayed they had a 3 piece acoustic trio playing songs for the restaurant, whilst I ate from e72 menu. Didn't get to try the e72 cocktail list but it does look good. The area is cool, Ekamai is great for restuarants, clubs. Lots of hidden places down the sub soi. Highly recommended
Travel tip : Agalico tea rooms are right nearby, ask about them with staff, you'll be glad u did
