Good location, room is small but clean If you're looking for afordable price and don't mind the size of the room then this is a place for consideration. We enjoyed staying at this facility in part because of the affordability of the room and also that we don't mind the room is small. The hotel is not new but they keep it clean. They do a quick check-in and check-out. If these criteria matches what you're looking for then make this hotel a consideration on your next hotel booking.
Shopping Tip : Central World is nearby which is a neat place to hang out and take pictures as well as shopping.

If your on a budget then this hotel should be sufficient for you. If you have kids then maybe not. It's not a pricy hotel but it'll get you by. The best part about it is the hotel is right across from a mall which you don't have to take a tuk tuk or anything unless you really can't stand the heat. We recommend eating out and there's alot of food out there once you step outside. Cheap room if that's what you're looking for.

Shopping Tip : You have to walk about 30 minutes to the Narai Phand (to get local souvenirs). It seems quite far but alas the traffic jam is exceptional.

Stayed here in Jan 2007 and returned in November. However the receptionist was not polite and asked for my girlfriend's ID as if we just walked off the street. A hotel I won't return to again and have stayed in over 40+ hotels in Thailand.
Shopping Tip : Shop at MBK, which is close to hotel.

The location is very good for both sightseeing and business. The service is top rate. Rooms are clean and well kept. on the small side but still good.
Traffic around the hotel can be bad during peak times. staff is very professional and friendly. The rooms are very clean and well kept. I was impressed with the attention to detail that the staff exercises. The location was very good with many street food vendors and good restaurants near by. The hotel restaurant was good value for the money. I would stay at this hotel again the next time I am in Bangkok.
Shopping Tip : really near Pratunam / Siam.

small and not so accessible The Hotel Ibis - Bangkok is a new and cozy hotel. The room is relatively new but small. It's really a travelers hotel coz it's affordable. Location is not that great though. As this is a new hotel most taxi drivers don't know where exactly is the hotel. So if you have booked this hotel, you must make sure that you know the exact address. If possible, should research on some popular landmarks nearby. Shopping centers are not walking distance which you expect if you go to bangkok. It is very convenient if your hotel is just nearby. Anytime can go shopping without having problems of taking cabs. As you need to be careful when taking cabs in bangkok.

could be closer to train station My mom and I stayed here earlier in our Thailand trip. After a few days in Phuket, we decided to stay here again before our flight back to the US.
Same review as the last time except to add that the taxi drivers are well-acquianted with this hotel and get here easily. ALso, super easy to get to both airports.
The room was clean and decent sized. The only problem was that the previous guest had durian in the room and it leaves a lingering smell.
It's walking distance to various shopping areas and the streets are lined with vendors. We saw our first elephant here.
The staff speaks English well, as well as Chinese and Japanese. (Not sure if they speak both Mandarin and Cantonese.) The buffet was a good mix of English (not American), Thai and Chinese food.
I wish it was a bit closer to the train station but it's about a 10 minute walk to it.
Hotel Feature Tip : Easy to get to both airports from this hotel.
