Had a 2 day stop at the Amari Atrium, which was really good value for money, comftable bed, clean room, nice breakfast selection and good accessability to both airport and city. Staff were friendly and helpfull.
Would stay again if looking for hotel in this area. Recomend to anyone who likes good value for money and unless you are wanting to walk out of your door in the middle of the city its great. Petchaburi can be very busy at peak hours with traffic but about 1.5km from Sukhumvit so not too far.
Shopping Tip:
On Petchaburi road so has many shoping, Platinum mall, pratunam area, beyoke tower shopping. Good for a great deal if you like a bit of barganing. Good food everywhere in bangkok!

Take the train from the airport and then catch a metered cab to Amari Atrium--you'll save a lot of money and hassle.

Great service and close to mrt

I must be say, the hotel was not what I expected. But the room was clean, the staff were lovely - and it was quiet despite being located just by the main road. And the mrt was only a short walk away. And the breakfast buffet was amazing. Warm waffles with whipped cream. Who could ask for more?
As for the room, it was clean, but it didn't have those extra things that made it perfect.. like a magnifying mirror, a toothbrush, scales, an iron etc. I've had all those things in much cheaper hotels, so I was a little surprised that the room didn't have those those items, especially the toothbrush.
And there was one more thing that annoyed me. I turned on the 'do not disturb sign' and the cleaner put a note under my door saying that if I needed anything I could call housekeeping. That's fine. Then later she called and asked if I needed my room cleaned, on two occasions. I was either working like a maniac or sleeping. I did not want to be disturbed.. hence the note. So those phone calls were a little odd.

Cheaply built hotel. You can hear the adjacent rooms when those guests shower in the morning. The air conditioning unit makes a racket when you turn it down or off that woke me out of a dead sleep. The worst supposedly four star hotel I've ever stayed in. I would never stay in this or any Amari hotel ever again!

We found that the hotel qualiy, the rooms and the overall impression are very good and better that other hotels at this rate in Bangkok. Very good value. Excellent breakfast.
The location is probaly a bit too far to the east for most tourist spots and more in the buisiness district. A subway stop as well as a stop for the klong (canal) public boat is a few minutes away.

amazing value for money. very clean and spacious rooms with brilliant customer service. free internet available in the room if you have a laptop and free wi fi available in the lobby.
very quick and easy to get to most sights/nightlife spots. the staff will call a taxi for you and tell the taxi driver where to take you and will also write down addresses in thai if necessary.
there is a pub/restaurant on the 1st floor of the hotel which is very good to start the evening.
concierge were very helpful and even got us a discount on a river cruise that we booked through them.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We were in Bangkok for Songkran (thai new year). There is an amazing atmosphere around this time, but be prepared to get very, very, very wet everyday for the 3 day festival. Everywhere is still open at this time though, do not let any locals tell you otherwise.
