the hotel has great service and very kind and helpful employees. the room and public areas are very fancy and clear, breakfast is the best we had at thailand. if you want great food, you should also try its vivaldi italian restaurant - really great food and service.
the hotel also offers a free shuttle service to the shopping centers and to the main touristic sites.

we generally always stay in amari hotels when in thailand. the amari atrium is very nice. again, the staff are always informative and accommodating. the hotel is close to the subway system, so is not as far from various points of interest as people might think.
Restaurant Tip:
the best french restaurant in town has to be le normandie, if one doesn't mind spending a few dollars. the restaurant will provide suit jackets for men, but you will need your own tie. a table by the window is perfect, since you can watch the sunset and the lights come out on the chao praya river.

we stayed at the amari twice this trip, and left our luggage in the hotel's storage room. we have done this before, since we like to travel light when making side trips. we were upgraded to the executive floor on our return, which was unexpected and much appreciated.
Restaurant Tip:
Of course the best French Restaurant in Bangkok is Le Normandie, situated on the top floor of the Oriental Hotel. Plan to spend about 3 hours, and try to book a window table with an unobstructed view of the river. The restaurant is not stuffy, but men have to wear a jacket ant tie. They will supply a dinner jacket, but it is probably advisable to ask in advance.

please try to stay at this hotel because of good cost performance,cleanliness,and good manner of staffs.
this hotel is located little bit away from major train station,
so the rate is cheaper than other 4 stars hotels (how lucky!).
i stayed here comfortably, and always took a taxi to central.
every staffs solved or replied my some orders willingly.

it was a nice stay though i was on business..cheerful staff. good location specially for travellers with family as the hotel is near but slightly off the night bar area of bkk. will stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
would strongly recommend the "ZAIKA" indian restaurant on the Opposite side of amari hotel. excellent food, ambience & cordial staff at the restaurant & reasonable. do try its worth..

I love the hotel even though the room was not that big. The breakfast was really awesome! I hope everyone else would think the same. The staff was friendly. At first they could not find my reservation but we worked it out eventually. I would definitely go back again.

this is the second time i have been a guest. as before i enjoyed it a lot. i was upgraded a room, but was surprised to find it was almost identical to the one i had before which was not an upgrade. the timing was difficult because of the floods but everything was of a high standard.

Dental Clinic over the road is one of the earliest high quality clinics in Thailand

the hotel is well located for makkasan airport link. it has all the facilities expected of a hotel of its size, including gym and swimming pool. the room i was given was generously sized (an upgrade) but the fittings were a little old fashioned as was the television. that said the room was clean and airy given the 20th floor view and the bathroom was enormous and light.
i didn't eat at the hotel but the breakfast restaurant looked pleasant and all the staff were very friendly.
given the rate offered on agoda i would definitely return. the proximity to the airport link, mrt and skytrain (longish walk not to be contemplated during the heat of the day) is a definite plus, especially for transit type stopovers.
