Large, clean and well-managed room with 5-star hotel facilities. Away from the maddening city traffic jams of Bangkok. Many of the facilities are either closed or running at half strength. Perhaps because of the relocation of the international airport to Suvarnabhumi. Amari Don Mueang is a great place to have a quiet and quality family time away from anyone, everyone and everything.
The pool, restaurant, coffee house and quiet surrounding calms your congested minds and eyes.
For a private person like myself, having a good selection of TV programs and delicacies is enough to make me a relaxed and happy traveller.
Hotel Feature Tip : Great place to laze around. Just switch everything off and not do anything!

The fascilities offered was first class. A kiosk with newspapers etc. would not go amiss. Needed a place for possible overnight stay near old airport. Found the hotel very comfortable with all fascilities and luxery one could dream of.Situated not too far from central Bangkok. Very peaceful surroundings and helpful staff.Only point on the minus side was the lack of a kiosk for buying newspapers etc.and a bit "cold" and unpersonal reception and bar area.

The way all the rooms were inward facing towards the pool giving the hotel a sense of seclusion A little dissapointed in the fact that the walkway to Don Muang was closed and having to use a taxi instead of what would have been a 500 metre walk??? We were greeted with the fact that we had been upgraded to a very good room.All the staff were very courtious and we especially enjoyed the pub allthough we were the only ones using the facility.The hotel is situated well and within easy reach of shops and facilities.I would be curious to know how the airport changes have affected the hotel.

Room was cozy and had a nice feel to it Generally building was old and had a musty smell I was generally satisfied with the hotel although there were some areas that needed improvement. First, I was pleasantly surprised that the room was huge and was well decorated. It was clean and felt very cozy and warm. However, signs of aging were there such as a musty smell present. Especially when I stepped into the lobby of the hotel. Felt like a 2 star hotel. Needs to modernise to keep up with the times. Service was also 2 star. Not very proactive. Other than that, it was value for money.

Room was nice with good desk, balcolny view, bed. Enjoyed food at breakfast. Location was great. Internet did not work. Called for support multiple times. Had to send someone to room with new unitl Delayed by access to business meeting. I was very disappointed and so metioned to staff. Overall good, but diappointed with lack of operable internet. I selected high end room specifically to do business call and then it did not work.

It would be nice if the bridge to the airport on oposite side of the hotel could be open. From the time we arrived in reception until we departed service was tremendous. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was very spacious.
My first impression was the luxurious lobby.
The only bad thing was that we could not take the bridge to the airport on oposite side of the hotel.
Shopping Tip : It was near future park.

Close to Don Muang airport and main arterial into town. Clean rooms, gym, satellite tv, nice bathrooms Internet access in rooms is ridiculously expensive, (but free wireless is available in the lobby lounge. This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Don Muang Amari. Both times I have been upgraded from superior to executive and have really appreciated that (that in itself will make me go back again when next I have business in Bangkok). The rooms are large and airy and well appointed. The bathrooms are big too. The staff is friendly and helpful. I never got to swim, but the pool and pool area looks great. A nice hotel that I can recommend if you need to stay in the Don Muang area of Bangkok.
Restaurant Tip : If you want to avoid the high cost of hotel restaurant food, a 500 meter walk down the road (away from Don Muang temple) brings you to a market area where there are a number of good authentic Thai restaurants.

very pleasant stay. Hospitality excellent a bad smell in the lobby area our stay was quite excellent. The rooms were quite pleasant. A bit of a distance to down town though.

very clean and spacious bathroom i thought the staff from the time i checked in was very courteous. from the front desk to the bell man everyone was very hospitable. the room was very clean that was my best impression was the cleanliness and my date said oh wow this smells so good. it is also a pretty centrally located hotel and a very nice gym for work outs. the food there was excellent we did not even have to go out to eat the food right in the hotel was great and the room service is good too they bring the food good and hot right to your room pretty quickly

true 4 star hotel at unbeatable price for this category with attentive staff and good restaurant. Nice outdoor pool location if you want to be close to city centre, hence the price as Don Muang Airport has lost its importance as international airport. nothing much nearby, no BTS station. Excellent value for money at international standard, well kept, free upgrade to huge room on arrival, luxurious room with 2 TVs and 2 ACs. stayed 3 days and enjoyed it. Restaurant very good buffet but price on 4 star level too. No service at pool. Overall the best possible hotel in BKK at this price, only downside is the location far away from city centre.
Shopping Tip : Not far away by taxi is IT Square, a shopping mall for IT products. For city centre take a taxi to MoChit BTS station,change to Skytrain there because quicker than taxi.

Well presented , easy to find , room clean and comfortable.
Disappointed that no breakfast available I was only one night in Amari as part of a late night arrival and departure stop over so it is difficult to write a full and informative review.
I would definately stay here again , staff were couteous and obliging and the room was well equipped , clean , comfortable.
We slept well and staff were very helpful in arranging transport next day.
I think it would be an advantage to have an easier breakfast option available .I assumed breakfast was included and was surprised to find this was not the case and there was no alternative readily available on site.
Overall I really have no complaints and would stay here again.
Travel tip : Bring your own breakfast , unless you find ut how to book with brekkie included?

i feel for the price of this hotel which i think is of 5 star quality you will never find this extreme value in any hotel. the staff was fantastic the rooms are very spacious and i was proud to take my date there she loved the room and we will go back again soon.she did not want to come home and the buffet was excellent great choice of foods. the room was very clean my date even commented as soon as we entered the room she said oh my this smells good.
