Next to shopping malls Hotel staff are really nice and helpfull. They are more than willing to help on all occasions. Has very nice entrance and lobby area. Tried the Thai resturant located on the 4th floor which has good food at reasonable price for a 5 star hotel. The pool bar was a bit more expensive. Room was very nice with 42" LCD with lots of channels and also DVD player. Taxi are organised at time of need and can take you around the city at very cheap price. Hotel limousine expensive as you would expect.
Internet was priced at the higher end but was very fast and free if using wireless in the lobby

-fantastic location, within walking distance to Paragon, Central World, Siam Square etc
- comfy rooms with great amenities My second time back to this particular Amari and found it to be exceptional as usual. Great service from staff, especially the Reception/Guest Relations supervisor- not sure of her name but she's Japanese?

the best lobby, the best room and the best breakfast in Pratunam area. The facilities is too expensive. I think Amari Watergate is the best hotel in Pratunam area. Eventhough the price is little a bit more expensive than the second best hotel in Pratunam, but the things that you get is really worh it with what you paid for. The room is beautiful, the lobby is huge and free wifi for everyone walking in lobby. The breakfast is also very nice, the place is loveable. But the price for other facilities, like food from the room service, the spa, the messages is really expensive. The price could be three times more expensive than the second best hotel in Pratunam area. If the price could cut by 30% , I think it is fair for me. And the environment in Amari Watergate is really different, its full with many business people from overseas or Europe. Thank you

The Toilet bowl seems old... Staying in Watergate is the first time as recommended from friends. Well it sure does gave me the pleasure to indulge on the massage and the Spa ...hey not forgetting the Clark Hatch Gym .The services was pretty good and prompt .The room was classic except for the toilet bowl which is kind of old but is alright .
Restaurant Tip : I don't believe it when I saw the Japanese food as a price of usd $ 10.0 , it was so cheap and yummy ...well is call Fiji restaurant at the World Trade shopping centre 4th Floor.Is only 10 mins walk from hotel.Not forgetting on the 5th Floor is the MK Steam boat which is well known in Bangkok.

the rooms are very nice ,good location for shopping and the price is not to expensive the problem i had with the hotel is how much they charge foe a cup of coffee im sure they could make it cheaper we stayed only one night and i found it very nice the staff are very friendly i had my 4month old son with me and the staff made us feel very welcome i know my son liked all the attention he was getting from everyone we had very nice rooms and they where clean and tidy with having a baby that made it perfect i would recomend staying here and i would stay again it is very close to all the shopping centers perfect location for my wife to spend my money overall i can not fault the hotel only the price they charge for the coffee

Its at the great location for those wanting to go shopping and spending great time around those sites. The traffic could be really bad on on weekdays.
I enjoy the Amari Watergate Hotel as its close to the business areas where I have easy access to sites where I meet with colleagues and friends. The major cities shopping and theaters are around making it easy to catch a flick after work.

great room, clean n organized layout,good bathroom n clean with big bathtub and duckies for a little cheap thrill,accessibility to shopping 4-face buddha! nice decor n well maintained hotel. bathroom doors leaks in aircon so bathrooms r too cold. it is my first time staying at amari watergate.i must say it was simply great!unfortunately i only had a day there before flying to phuket or i would have been able to enjoy more of amari. the rest are great,i wished i had time to try their spa.judging from the staff politeness and the quality of the hotel, my feelings are that it would have been fantastic.i was there to do some wholesale shopping and so did not spend enough time in the room.but i did enjoy the bathtub twice to relax after all that shopping!the duckies were fun haha! n the location of the hotel is simply great. the great shopping is all around its vicinity and walking distance. i had too many bags just around the area and need not go MBK at all!i could also walk to the famous 4-face buddha without having to take a taxi cause traffic was tough.and during the walk, i could not miss all the shopping stretch!my next trip would still stay at amari.i go to BKK about 4 times a year and have tried many hotels.henceforth my husband and i will stay put at amari watergate. thank you for such a great stay!
Shopping Tip : any sort of shopping can be done around the vicinity of amari.do not need to take a taxi anywhere, just walk out of the hotel and you keep buying things, they are cheap and lots of varieties.platinum mall has tremendous choices with food court on the 4th floor with tremendous choices.

traffic around the Hotel is baaaaad. Good Hotel in the middel of Shopping paradise.Get the room on the high floor and on the south-side, it has the best view. We were there on a low season so they close some og the restaurant in the hotel. That not good when they advertised and promote it on the net. All the staff are nice. The breakfast is ok but not the best for this price.
Shopping Tip : You have all the shopping at your door step.

Amari Watergate Hotel is actually one of the best place in Bangkok. The hotel is luxurious in all aspects and the room amenities. My room is very spacious and clean, with a great view complimented by a lovely relaxing pool area. They have a very friendly staff. Plus Easy access to pratunam/downtown area, just a short walk to major shopping centers. Overall my stay was very pleasant and comfortable.

The rooms are well appointed & very clean Central to all major shopping Very friendly and helpful Staff Wonderful buffet Breakfast The variety is great I would generally give this hotel a 4 star rating I am not sure if this is an isolated case but I can give the hotel a benefit of the doubt because of the manager The bathtub drain was broken and the water would not drain There was lipstick all over the window On the lounge chair I had made a mess of the pillows but house keeping did not straighten it out and the so called free coffee was not replaced So on checkout In passing I told the cashier and she called the day manager He said that this was totally not acceptable and apologize gave me his card and said on a return he would appreciate if he could upgrade to a Suit Now while I appreciate the concern it still leaves questions as to the quality of maintenance and housekeeping It is a well run hotel with generally good service However I do believe that my experience may not be isolated Housekeeping needs a some discipline and whoever looked after our room I believe shows there may be a bigger problem underlying However Setting aside the room problems I would give the hotel a second chance and would stay again It is priced reasonably and very well located
Shopping Tip : Unless you want to pay super high prices this is about as central to all the major shopping in Bangkok and if you ask for a high floor the View is Spectacular Central to the Famous Pantip Plaza and all the major shopping facilities A true Shoppers Dream

Standards of service, ambiance, location, breakfast Prices for in-house beverages and meals are excessive for Bangkok. This is a quality hotel at international 5 star standards. The hotel is well-located for the activities that Bangkok has to offer. Access to the airport expressway is nearby. A useful pamphlet available in the room instructs about avoiding the outside scams and deceptions that visitors to Bangkok can confront, including being taken "shopping" against one's will.
Restaurant Tip : The shopping mall across the street had a good selection of food on the 4th floor, including vegetarian, but closes around 6.00 pm.

The concierge staff seems to be at a loss when we asked for taxi from the hotel to the airport. Overall not a bad hotel at all. Will definately stay there again for the location.

Great rooms, perfect location, friendly staff This is a great hotel. It is perfectly located to everything, the staff is very friendly and helpful (although a few don't speak much English), the rooms are very nice. The only downfall is that the food at the hotel is outrageously priced. I think they can get away with it bc so many business people stay there that are not paying the bill. The water bottles in the room sell for 140 baht!! They are 10 baht 20 yards from the hotel at the first venders. The bakery is reasonably priced though and is excellent for breakfast or lunch.
Restaurant Tip : Eat out elsewhere.
