location is good, it was very safe, great people, food was very delicious and fresh, no food poisoning, many restaurants around, swimming pool and gym are free of charge, and they are great, lunch was the best thing a bufet, with food from all over the world - indian, sushi, vegetabbles, thai food, western, toilets are western as well
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is very good with trafic, you can go everywhere from there, staff can arrange you what ever you want

everything is within reach, the BTS is a short walk away and there is a well-stocked supermarket below. lots of restaurants, bars and pubs -- offering different cuisines and ambience -- along soi 11. if all that walking tires your body and feet, there're countless massage joints to soothe your aching muscles and joints. do be careful, however, that your recycled laundry bag is returned to your room. mine wasn't, and i had to pay 150 baht.

the room was large and clean. however, the hotel did not honor our request for a non-smoking room or a room with a king-sized bed until we insisted that we need those two things. the internet is expensive. the location is okay if you're into staying into a super touristy area with lots of scams around. the bts is a better alternative than taxis for this hotel because there is something about this hotel that makes taxi drivers want to rip you off. it happened every time for this hotel and that normally isn't the case for us when we stay in bangkok.
Restaurant Tip:
Charlie Brown's Mexican restaurant nearby has great food. Cheap Charlie's is a great expat bar nearby as well.

Huge professionally run hotel operation
Convenient location near Sukhumvit and large pool

this was my second stay at the ambassador, mainly because of its great location and close proximity to the sky train. the rooms are nicely appointed and always spotlessly clean, but the best feature is the large pool with friendly and efficient bar service. i'll probably be back agin.

Staffs are not so friendly and the room is a bit small and show signs of age the overall cleanliness is okay. But we found many ants in the room and the toilet is block, but a housekeeping is available 24 hrs.

Lobby is very nice but not the rooms

A huge hotel with a big lobby, nice breakfast but the rooms are not nice at all. There was also a swimmingpool but I didnt use it. I will not go back again. Prefer an other hotel. I didnt like the staff.

Quick and polite room service if required,great food.. Very friendly staff and no problem changing or upgrading room at any given time..
We always stay at The Ambassador when in Bangkok.
Shopping Tip:
If You are over the weekend: Take the Skytrain to Saphan Kwai (station before Chatuchak) Take a walk towards Chatuchak Weekend Marked, experience real exiting dealings with Buddhas..You can make great deal if You are a collector, or have a good time if You are just browsing... Walk on To the Market (One of the worlds biggest) And experience an amazing buzz of people, languages, sales and trinkets of all kind! Its amazing!! Chatuchak is open Saturday and Sunday from 0800 - 1800 GO!

This hotel is found right in heart of the main road sukhmumvit. Conveniently located in the main entertertaiment hub and near restaurants.
The service in this hotel is not the best. improvements are needed.
The rooms required some new decoration especially in the main wing.
I recommend the restaruant inside especially for lunch time
|
