I found this hotel to be in a very good location and only a short walk to the BRS. The majority of the guests were Arab and there was a lot of young children. The pool was clean and a good size but was full of children and very noisy.My room was in the old part of the hotel but was a reasonable size and clean. I found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. The internet in the room was expensive and slow.

Dont use the internet. Cheaper to use nearby internet cafe

Nice hotel in a good location. We originally booked in the standard main wing, but upgraded upon arrival for about . Extremely tourist area so there's always activity all hours of the day. Good location within 5 minute walk to the BTS which is so important in Bangkok. There's a plaza downstairs with a few shops and massage places

The ambassador hotel is good for the money and is in the right location to get around. It is not far to the sky train and Nana station and the underground railway station is about a 10 minute walk so it is eazy to go to Bankoks biggest market. NBK shopping centre is not far away and is eazy to get to on the sky train. The staff were very good at the Ambaddador and helpfull and I will be staying there on my next trip to Bangkok

aging hotel, comfortable stay

aging hotel (at least the round tower portion) that was seemingly renovated approx. 3-5 years ago. i was put in a smoking room even though i had requested the opposite.
great amenities, great location, fairly comfortable stay.
Nightlife Tip:
Just walk outside for nightlife.

The main wing rooms have recently been renovated and are very good value for the price.Staff service is generally good but two of the reception staff were not very helpful and one was rude and surly. The breakfast buffet is comprehensive and caters to all tastes and just about every ethnicity.

Nice hotel, i heard it is one of the oldest hotels, but the renovations make it look quite classy.
For the cost, its quite standard, simple room. comes with al the usual stuff. I did not get breakfast included though
unfortunately for my bed situation (see comments below) i was put into a room with 2 single beds. THis is not too bad, except for that when i got back later in the afternoon, there was a huge puddle of water at my front door, because the roof is leaking. Although i called reception, and the housekeeping staff, nothing was done until late at night, when all they did was put a bucket there, which inconveniently blocked the door entrance.
luckily i requested a room change to a queen bed for the next night, so the next morning, i already had another room prepared, so i did not have to deal with the water and bucket at the door.
otherwise, was a pleasant stay, very convenient to travel around, its not far from the city and shopping areas, and there are many food, pubs, restaurants etc around the area.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you want: Specify that you want a queen bed. I booked it with the assumption that what agoda had on the website about the room coming with a queen bed means that i will automatically get a queen bed. When i got there, they said becuse i did not write i wanted a queen bed, they gave me 2 singles.

We must have got the old part of the hotel, which was very tired, but considering location and price, good value for money .Breakfast excellent. Would happily stay again.
