Huge hotel with lots of amenities but no free wifi

the ambassador hotel & conventions is perfect for group assemblies because its huge, the rooms are spacious and there are lots of amenities. i like their gym the most because they have complete equipments similar to what you see in fitness first. they also have a nice pool with a little bar with lots of magazines to read when you need to relax. there's a staircase beside the pool going to a mini aviary containing exotic birds. i think they have more than 10 cages of different kinds of birds. and there's also a room for the yoga enthusiasts, and for the joggers, there's a huge oval platform where you can run into. did i mention that they also have a steam room, a jacuzzi and a spa?
this hotel has also a powerful location in bangkok because it's only 2 minute-walk to the nana station of the bts. it will surely save you a lot of bucks from riding tuktuk or taxi. there's also a mini-mall on its side and a 7-11 on the opposite side for some stuff that you need.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The Ambassador Spa at the 2nd floor is quite popular here that even outsiders visit this spa. There are also a lot of bars surrounding this hotel perfect for the party people.

Great hotel, old but under some refurbishment,we upgraded to the tower wing on arrival. We were suprised at how quiet it was at night expecting some noise due to being in the city.Good location for the shopping malls,and any sightseeing planned.Room was very good large and comfortable,clean with great service. We booked with no breakfast as we had no shedual to stick to. Best price on the net with Agoda.
Shopping Tip:
Catch the Skytrain to the shopping Malls as a Taxi ride will take ages in traffic

An OK experience

The hotel is located at a very nice location. It is clean and has a friendly staff. Over all a good experience but the room i was given was on the 3rd floor and there was construction work right outside my window that used to start at 7 in the morning and would last till 7 at night at times, it was difficult sleeping in the morning, thought about requesting to change the room but was there for 3 nights so did not. It should have been better if they had given me some other room from the start.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last fifteen years. It had gotten very weary until the recent renovation. Following the renovation the room rates were jacked up way to high. Their business has suffered and the occupancy is way down.Some of the shops have closed for this reason.It remains a good hotel in a good location,but is priced too high. Cons - The room rates are much too high for what you get. If the buffet breakfast was included the rate would be realistic.At about $12.00 US the breakfast is way too expensive.

the hotel quite new. very clean and near by the bts station and shopping center.there are coffee and tea in the guest room.
the room very clean. i like the gym with sauna and jagussi because not to many people. the breakfast there are different kinds of food.

there are many place near by foor foot massage, dining, drinking and shopping
