Convenient location

firstly, ambassador hotel is located in the convenient location because there is alots of food around that area. however, this hotel has a good service, nice room but there is not a free wireless in the room. due to this, i would like to advise that in the future this hotel will provide the free wireless in the every singel room.

“Amazing Hotel. centrally located...close proximity to Sukhumvit Road...many Indian Restaurants around...Sumptous Breakfast spread...great food...the staff is very freindly and room service is very good...went there during cristmas and the Hotel was beautifully decorated.”

The Ambassador probably was a exclusice establishment sometime during the 80's but has now lost its flare we would say. The hotel has not been upgraded since late 80's and it sort of feels like the management has no plans in doing it in the future. But for us, as twenty something backpackers, this time travel provided a lot of amusement. (Tip: go up and visit the birds by the pool area...)
The rooms are still ok and quite clean but everything is a bit worn out. During a afternoon shower the window could not keep the rain out...
Still the location is perfect, close to the skytrain and different restaurants, nightclubs, etc. The service was excellent from the staff and the price was ok, 93$ US for three nights, doubleroom.
*avoid the pool area if you are looking for a nice time*

Noisy due to the renovations, the whole place feels big and informal, internet extremely expensive, do your self a favor and pay a bit more and go to the presidents palace just up the same road

I have stayed in the Ambassador on many occasions and never been disappointed. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. There is a very good swimming pool and gym. The hotel is located in a quiet street(soi 11) just of the main road (sukhumvit rd) and is very close (5mins walk) to the skytrain (nana station). Now that the syktrain has a link directly to the airport is another good reason to stay at this hotel. Local night life is also good.
Nightlife Tip:
There is a very good trendy 'tree pub' opposite the hotel enterence in the direction of the main road.
