There are better hotels than this one
close to restaurants, close to BTS, close to other good things
Check in was slow and the receptionist was not friendly at all. Internet not for free even if advertised otherwise. Room quite dirty: air conditioner lovers, curtains, balcony full of birds dropping. Furniture worn out. Bathroom very small, only shower, it gets wet everywhere. Just two towels only for 2 people, no face towel. No hair dryer. Plug in the tub leaking. Breakfast with limited choice. One cook who makes omelets and 10 people waiting to get their own. Elevator old, noisy and small. Door locks not based on IC card but standard key.2 free bottles of water with the note that bottles MUST be returned so do not take them away as a souvenir (LOL). At check out, the lady does not know how far it is to the airport and how much it will cost to get there. Asking (just curiosity)how much it is to take hotel taxi there, the concierge says 1 thousand something, etc... Incompetent staff. Only 2 good things: Internet in room was fast (390 THB per day) and checkout lady said to me : have a nice day.

in the average
location, room not bad
The internet price absolutely rediculus! Cost me 1000 bath for little usage in only 2 days...Some decoration/equipement are getting old. Better stay in the President chain near by.

Good clean hotel, if a little run down
Location and staff
Nice hotel if a little run down, if you want to stay here I suggest you get a room in the tower block as main building is very run down and don't have compl. wifi. Only bad thing about the hotel was that they have shops in the lobby, and in usual Bangkok style, the tailor shop owners was very pushy trying to get you into their shops, even though you made it plain that it had no intrest.

Conveniently located
Good location, clean, and affordable
We like staying at the Ambassador hotel because it is conveniently located near a train station, and is also close to restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are affordable. It has a pool, which is quite old, but sufficient for relaxation after a long day out.

Good hotel, a little run down but clean
Location and staff
Nice hotel if a little run down, if you want to stay here I suggest you get a room in the tower block as main building is very run down and a little shabby and don't have compl. wifi and buying an access to the internet is very expensive (for Bangkok). Only bad thing about the hotel was that they have shops in the lobby, and in usual Bangkok style, the tailor shop owners was very pushy trying to get you into their shops, even though you made it plain that it had no intrest.

Please demolish the hotel
Location is the only good thing of this hotel
Terrible! I got a diarrhoea after having breakfast at the hotel. Too much photoshop on the pictures. i had to crosscheck with the pictures because the room seemed from "Adams Family" house. The owner should demolish the entire building and think about a complete renovation. The hotel is located in an excellent place, but rooms and service are far far away from what somebody should expect. We went to a hotel. How the hell it´s not possible to have WIFI internet connection (even paying for this service) in the room?

Spend your money somewhere else
Nice lobby, friendly staff
The lobby the hotel is very deceiving. The lobby is in great condition and looks newly renovated. The rooms, however, need some attention. We actually switched rooms shortly after checking in. We had paid for a superior 'newly renovated' room. However, the room looked as though it was in need of renovation and a deep cleaning. The cleanliness of the room was the level expected of a cheap roadside motel. The sheets had suspicious looking stains (the first room the stains looked like oil/lube, the second room the sheets looked like they had been stained with grease from a washing machine). The pillowcases in the first room also had make up stains. The towels also looked dingy and there was a black film on the bathroom counter. The staff was very friendly and accomondating when we asked to switch rooms. However, the second room still felt run down for the price that would have been paid without the Agoda discount. I would highly recommend staying in another hotel if you think this hotel is a luxury hotel. If you want a cheap, basic motel, however, the Ambassador will be fine. The room had free, high-speed internet. However, the connection was incredibly slow and spotty in various places in the room.

Clean, Luxury, Good Location for shopping
Big room, clean & good location
The standard of the Hotel is way below my expectation ... wifi signal was poor in the rooms , the north tower is like a ghost town and the transfer level to North Tower on the 11 floor is dark and eerie in the night
