Only person allowed to sign for room service was the person who boked the hotel.Your wife is not allowed to sign.Very .unfriendly service.We were only give one key card as well

Good Lcation but bad Hotel

a) The Website did not say in any point that breakfast was not included, only when I got the voucher it stated this.
b) I clearly requested a top floor Twin bed, but on arrival nothing was arranged.
c) As a business traveler, we need to iron the shirts but surprisingly there is no iron available at the hotel
d) On the date of the check-out, the desk asked me about the laundry bag, which I mentioned it was on the top of the closest, however they refuse to let me go & I had to go up back to the room and just to open the door and soon as you open the door it can be seen.
e)I got some room service and there was too much salt and when I called they did not understand what I said. I had to go out again to get some food.
f) This was the worst hotel I have every stayed in and have no intention of staying there again, the service is 0.

My stay in the hotel is a very pleasant one. It allows me to smoke and drink liquor in the hotel as provided, saving me the hassle to buy outside if there is the urge to consume. In addition the hotel is very convenient for me to go for nightlife activities. For travelers who love the nightlife in bangkok, ambassador hotel will be your number one choice.
Nightlife Tip:
For travelers who love to drink and play around in the sleazy environment, ambassador hotel has a drinking club right below it. In addition it is very near to the nightlife places of bangkok.

So ancient so old but good location

location : about 100 meters from entrance of sukhumvit soi 11.
as you arrive in ambassador hotel you are transported to old age. everything is old, ancient but still functional.
however if you purpose is fun and enjoyment and if you are in the age group of 18-40 and if you wish to stay in a cool and funky place, please avoid this hotel.
the staff is very experienced, very kind but all uncles and grandfather category. all ladies are motherly and kind. all the ambience is old, mellow and very rustic. old world charms??
i am not old so i would never know the meaning of old world charm. because everything is old, all the services are slow and laid back. slow but functional. even the lift looks old.
please avoid the main wing because you will have no view from the windows choose, insist and book tower wing for 2 guests.
the tower wing is a round shaped building which is probably 20 years old, is designed in such a way that all rooms have good privacy. the rooms are definitely large by modern standards and the view from higher floors is good.
the reception is large area because they probably expect you to wait. the staff is helpful but very curt. not their mistake with so many indian and people from indian subcontinent arriving and staying in this hotel. travelers arriving on shoe string budget , absolutely mannerless and pushy, impatient.
they harass the staff to a great extent. if you are next after a bad customer.. you will receive some "special treatment" from the hotel staff. perfectly understandable but perfectly annoying.
several group tours also arrive from same region, india, pakistan, srilanka etc. again very noisy and again mannerless. they dont bother about other peoples privacy.
avoid this hotel if you are from the rest of the world. for people from indian subcontinent, this is your 2nd home.

this hotel although is old but it's well maintained and kept. it is also situated in the suhumvit area and therefore has lots of shops and eateries. it's within easy reach to downtown bangkok such as silom and sathon areas. dressing is casual in sunny bangkok and this hotel does not discriminate its guest by the way they dress. very nice staff serving you day and night.

It's in party town, no doubt.
The party is all around you, if thats what you're looking for.

Its connected to a late night disco, and there is a lot of food / bars / clubs / trouble to get into all around you. If you are a group of guys going out for a party its a great location, families traveling with children probably should find a new location.
