good place to stay and everything clsoeb by to go for shopping only minus point is there was no indian channel if there will be indian channel lot of customer will be there to stay It was a very good stay at this hotel very neat and clean staff were very friendly and its very close toall the shopping malls and resturant, we like the place and in future also we would love to stay but there should be an indian channel to watch the tv for some pass time at atleast.

Location, excellent restaurant (food and service), exellent concierge/bell hop service Standard rooms carpeting, smoking smeell in room when non-smoking was requested, Spa price rather high )although good service) compared to other massage/spa services in the area Overall, my stay at the Ambassador hotel was very pleasant and enjoyable. The hospitality of the hotel staff was excellent. We especially must compliment the restaurant staff for superb service and food. We ate both buffet and menu items and food was excellent regardless of whether traditional Thai dishes or "western" tastes. Location was great, as related to the purpose of our visit. Proximity to the BTS was great in getting around the area. We would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Hotel Feature Tip : The Spa/massage salon in the hotel is excellent and when price package discount is included is most worthwhile.

Options in breakfast, Superb views of skyline from the Tower wing, smiling and helpful staff Hotel is located at a very nice and happening location with lots of eating joints near to it. There is a street market nearby incase you want to buy value for money souvernairs for friends back home. Almost all cuisines restaurants are avialable in the vicinity of the hotel itself. Hotel staff is good and supportive, hotel itself has good 3-4 restuarants inside incase you want to take rest and eat out in hotel itself. All big shopping malls are not much far from the hotel and will generally need a 10-15 min drive by taxi.
Shopping Tip : Take skytrain from sukhumvit to national village and you are amidst few very nice shopping malls (MBK). You can take taxi also and it will charge around 80-100 Bhats. Dont take tuk tuk even if it offers 20 Bhat as they are all cheats and might drop you to some other saying its the address you asked.

Beautiful garden at coffee shop, pleasant rooms, friendly staff, great location The hotel is huge, could feel intimidating One of the liveliest spots in Bangkok is right around Soi Nana, near the Ambassador. Virtually everything is available within a very short walk. Since remodeling, the main wing of the Ambassador is now quite pleasant and new; the swimming pool is pleasant, the tropical birds are noisy and fun, and the staff are quite friendly. Not a small personal hotel, but for those who need a gym or other amenities, it is a great location and good rooms at a reasonable price.
Restaurant Tip : Surprisingly good food at the otherwise rather grim Kinnamee? coffee shop nearby, open 24 hours.

Comfortable rooms, latest technology in the rooms A bit busy at the frotn desk, but not really a problem Everything went smooth from the moment I arrived. Actually, I had had some bad experiences in other 3-4 star hotels in Bangkok in the past, but the standard of the Ambassador hotel seems to be one according to european standards. Sometimes in Asia 3 star ratings are given very easily, disappointing many european customers. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you can expect from a buffet. Rooms were very clean and the front desk staff were very helpful pointing out directions.

Very good service on arrival at the door from the taxi. Booking in fast and helpfull. Room was very well kept, clean and comfortable. bathroom large and perfect, clean. Bell captain very helpfull. Food in the resaurant was very good. I have stayed at this hotel all times I visit Bangkok and will continue. Good bars and food places very close market stalls just down the road onto the main road lots of stalls and very good prices.

Upgraded rooms were up to my expectations. Breakfast buffet was reasonably good with wide variety.
There is a supermarket nearby. Convenience. Increase the number of news channel (CNBC & Channel News Asia) of cable TV. Encountered 2 incidents though:
1. Air-con was not functional on the first night but technician came to resolve it quickly.
2. Door could not be opened after locking. But it was resolved when I came back few hours later. Stayed in Ambassador Hotel in 1999 and 2005. Revisited again last week. Improvement in room and hotel surrounding are obvious after the continuous upgrading since 2005 I think. I enjoyed the 4 night stay. Rooms looks new and comfortable. Within 2 minutes walking distance from NANA BTS Station, it is definitely a strategic location to stay near the Sukhumvit shopping belt. Also, there is a supermarket nearby. One additional plus point to the convenience of guests. Will be back in future trip.
Nightlife Tip : It's within walking distance from Nana Center, where a wide range of night life activities can be found.

Well located right in the centre of Sukhumvit, good shopping and nightlife Bathroom a little small due to the layout, but that is a very minor issue. Would be happy to stay there again

This time I stayed in the privlege suite on the 25th floor and was suprised how clean and new the room was.I booked in February and the price was alot less than it is now.very good but pricy. Rooms in the Main wing given the uplift. Spanking new carpet along the hall. Room kept to the minimal. Still the old furnishing but that's alright for the price you pay.
B/fast is still superb with wide varieties. Back after more than a year's absence. Still a great place to be in with good foodie restaurants in the vicinity. And a great meeting place as well for business.
Travel tip : Take the skytrain on Nana and head to Phrom Pong at the Emporium. Greyhound Cafe is the place to be. Excellent fusion food. Period.

Good Location and proximity. Good rooms in Tower Wing. Breakfast timings were 6am - 10am which should be from 7am to 11am. The new tower wing has good rooms. The breakfast was not very lavish but had everything you needed to start your day. Excellent location, the sky train station NANA is just two-three minute walk. Since it is on Sukhumvit, it's a haven for shoppers. The market is just across the hotel so that helps. Late check-outs are a blessing. Over-all i would give it 4 out of 5.
Restaurant Tip : The open-air restaurant right opposite the gate of Ambassador has a good menu selection for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. They have live English music which adds to the overall decorous ambience of the place.

Very polite staff.
Comfortable room. No view from the old wing windows. The Ambassador hotel in Bangkok is located just in the center of Nana area. It is 100 meters away from the BTS station that is quite effective. There are a lot of possibilities inside the hotel complex so you don't need to go away to find: Restaurants, Shops, Tailors, Massages, Spa, Minimarket and many other options.

Good Location, Friendly Staff / Service, Excellent Breakfast i am a regular at Ambassador ! I always Enjoy my Stay ! Location, very close to Sukhumvit is Ideal ! Many Eateries around -- especially for Indians ! Buffet Breakfast -- Several vegetarian items -- is Sumptuous & Tasty. After Renovation, I find they Provide even a Coffee Maker in the Room !
Travel tip : Shopping on the Sukhumvit -- remember to Bargain ( 1 to 5 ? ) .
