The facilities are very good and amenities are very close Lack of service of certain staff, like porters.
Room service seemed to take a long time As ever a reasonable stay here and I will continue to use this hotel as overall it satisfies everything you would want in terms of what it can offer. The spa and gym are always good, so in general is the staff assistance. It's location plays a great part as the nightlife and shopping is relatively close

Double bed, clean room, remodeled, and comfortable. Soft bedding, clean bathroom, new tiles, and new fixtures. Room had good view, and window opened. No safe in room. Wireless not available in left wing of hotel. This is a problem. The twin bed room appeared to be newly remodeled and was very comfortable. The TV worked great but there was no wireless internet access in the left wing of the hotel. The twin bedding was clean and soft. The bathroom was stocked with soap and shampoo and had clean tiles and new fixtures. The view from the window was good and the window opened to the outside. Elevators were fast and efficient.
Nightlife Tip : Hotel has great night club in the bottom level.

big , spacious ,everything at your fingertips. Disappointed in the meet and greet originally ,political protests meant no taxis available , had to come in by sky train and walk to hotel , arrived hot and sweaty dragging my bag I guess I didn't look to be of interest and probably not guest material? I have been to the Ambassadore many times but this is my first as a guest, and yes it was really good even if its lobby size was so huge as too be impersonal.
Having said this I will stay here again as my hotel of choice whenever I am in BKK.
The room was adequate , clean and comfortable , I complained that my room had an odour of smoke and the housekeeper was quickly despatched to spray the room without complaint .
The bathroom is a little small and a bit too compact for a man of my size but nevertheless was clean and well appointed.
The things I like most is the reasonably priced surrounding restaurants , coffe bar , 7/11 , internet all available within 200 yards .
The small "Bar & Bites" restaurant at the entrance put up some great food at a nominal figure.
A big plus was the footpath "mobile market" almost at the door , bought some great bargains and gifts right on the doorstep.
For me this is the ideal hotel in Bangkok.
Restaurant Tip : Eat at the Beer and Bite just at the entrance steps and shop at the mobile market.

Good price, excellent location, great breakfast buffet. The Ambassador has renovated some rooms and they are good value for the price.
Bathrooms are small. The Ambassador Hotel is a moderate priced hotel with an excellent location on Sukhumvit, Soi 11. There are some excellent bars and restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet. The Ambassador has renovated some rooms and they are comfortable, although the bathrooms are small, but clean. There is a pool and a gym in the hotel.

Location is alright for some night life Entry is weird because what looks like the entry is not where you get in and upon first arriving went the wrong way Picked it for price reason and it was very cheap, after all I think it was OK for the price but not really any great hotel I recommend if you wanna spend a lot of time in the room, very standard room and cleanliness is not the best, friendly staff at the bar in the lobby and that was about the highlight, distance to BTS is ok if you can bear the heat a bit, but it's not just around the corner

location,excellent front desk service it is a few years since i have stayed at The Ambassador,and I am glad to say it was good to return. The rooms seem to have had a bit of an overhaul,which seems to have improved them greatly. The staff front of desk/reception are excellent,courteous and always obliging to help. Location with close proximity to skytrain makes it easy to get around Bangkok,all in all a very pleasant stay.

Clean, modern, nice staff. Internet only on 3 floors of the tower building. The rest of the palce is no internet in room. A small walk to the Metro and most of the night life. Nice hotel on Soi 11. It is close enough to the night life. Many good restaurants, travel agents, market and pharmacy near hotel. Internet is not in mot of hotel when I stayed there. they advertise they have it but not so. At least when I was there in April of 09. i booked it because I need internet and upon arriving found they dont have it except for the top 3 floors of the main tower. More expensive rooms. I complained and showed them online how they advertise and then dont have it.
Manager upgraded me to the tower where they have internet. I need internet for buisness. If you dont need, then this is a nice hotel in good location.

It's food basically Vegetarian items in breakfast
& the locality, eassy excess for shopping, dinning & sight seeing. Not that much, Bath tub must be in bathrooms & it's better if you can provide free wi fi connection for biz travellers.

Quiet area Rooms in standard wing are old. The hotel has a tired look to it, of better days gone by. Since I was travelling I couldn't print off my Agoda hotel voucher and even though I had the reference number and could show the document on my laptop the hotel refused to accept it. I had to hunt down a place where I could pay for the voucher to be printed off. All in all a poor start to the stay. When I got to the room it looked old and is desperatly in need of a refresh

Good location, nice sized room, very clean, staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is very spread out and our room a a "good walk" from the elevator. Smoking rooms really smell like smoking rooms. We stayed here one night to "see" Bangkok before leaving to see other parts of Thailand. The hotel fit our bill. It was nicely located. The staff was very helpful with booking of tours, restaurants, etc. Initially we asked for a smoking room as my boyfriend is a smoker but even he couldnt stand the smell of that room. They then moved us to a non-smoking room that was on the end of a hall a long walk from the elevator. Overall Id stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Stay away from the Tuk-Tuk if you want to do more than shop..they are just going to take you to from store to store, so that the drivers can get their coupons.

Amassador has got a good refreshment and seems not so old as earlier.
Very swift checkout.
Very nice pool.
Good service. The temperature in the pool was very high It was easy to check in. Our room was clean and nice. We like the service with water boiler and coffee in the room. Very good beds. The pool is very nice with lots of sun chairs. The temperature of the pool water was too high to give any refreshment. We were nicely surprised of how swift it was to check out .

Very Spacious. Newly renovated. Housekeeping staff very friendly and helpful. Concierge knowledgeable. Room clean. First room given was up to standard as the shower drain clogs. Toilet also did not flush. However when compaint made was given a change of room. Most if not all hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. When requested for directions to places of interest was pointed in the right direction. Concierge even volunteered to get taxi for this guest when told in a hurry to need one. General ambience of hotel was good and clean. Hotel location is convenient and within walking distance of Train station and shopping malls. Will definitely stay again in this hotel next time.

very good location. very near the BTS station. receiption is very nice The hotel look a little old. and the room is a bit small The hotel is very big. All facility is quite good. The hotel is very near to the BTS, that is very convience. And there are the night market in front of the hotel which has a lot of thing to sell.

It is one of the best hotels I stayed so far. It maintained nicely with comfortable rooms. The food served is superb with a menu of wide choice. its location is an added advantage Myself and two of my colleagues had a meeting in the hotel during 23-27 March 2009 and hired two rooms to stay and a conference room. We find the hotel very ideal for businnes meetings in Bangkok. Its staff was very hospitable and caring. Food served was excellent. Hotel's location is an added attraction for visiting in the evening and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay for six days.

a good hotel with excellent location. all the local transport are very near by to go at various locations. the new renovated rooms are well planned and provide good city overview. near by different restaurants are very convenient to all foreign travellers to have their own cusine as per their likings. hotel own restaurants provide excellent spcae for business discussion
