Very impressive lobby; reception staff, concierge. A cafe, bar/lounge and restaurant on site - all very well done. First room had a broken door lock and shower didn't drain; second room had a broken sink stopper, so the sink couldn't be drained. Seems like the rooms need a bit of maintenance. Excellent hotel in spite of the few room problems. As soon as you walk out the (secure) gates you get a flavor of the local shops and street hawkers. Taxi's ant "Tuk-Tuk's" easily available for transport at low cost.

The rooms are renovated but the a/c are 20 years old with terrible noises. Can not sleep at all in the night. Nice hotel in a very convenient position staff nice at gently expecially made room and front desk staff. rooms most all renovated confortable and nice. Unfortunatly we ask to change the room twice for the noise of air con but all rooms staff say have this problem. Breakfast morning can improve a lot in the quality.

Staff were fantastic, location was good for us, all depends what you want of course. Didn't dislike anything, I would have preferred the booking to include breakfast, which was buffet style, all you can eat with all tastes catered for. The hotel is located on Sukhumvit Road very close to the Nana skytrain stop. If you want bars, cheap shopping etc then everything is close by. It was a 300baht taxi journey ride from the airport. The staff treated us very well indeed, the room was comfortable and clean with a nice bathroom. The swimming pool on the 3rd floor was excellent. I have stayed there again since and would go back again.

Good clean rooms, capacious lobbies, close to BT trains, easy access, reasonable price every time I come to Bangkok prefer to stay at Ambassador. This was 1st time I had booking through Agoda and it was nice experience everything went well and when I got delayed arrival due to flight problems and got in touch with Agoda they listened me carefully and adjusted the things accordingly. I will use Agoda for next hotel bookings.

close to the skytrain, the Ambassador hotel offers everything you need to stay in Bangkok.
Only 2 stations away from the shopping area an restaurants, it is a nice place to stay. We always choose this hotel because it is very good located.
We stay in the tower wing which has completely new rooms, nicely decorated en very clean.
Bedlinnen and towels can be changed every day upon your needs. Good breakfast, good restaurant and bar with friendly staff.
Shopping Tip : Close to the Amarin Plaza and Paragon shopping center.

There is a newer wing to the hotel. far from sukhumvit, rooms and lobby are very old, swimming pool area is not very nice. The Ambassador Hotel is a very old property located quite far down Sukhumvit Soi 11. The rooms and lobby are old although there is newer wing where the rooms are a bit better. Although the website says that the swimming pool area is newly renovated, it is not nice at all. I would not recommend staying at this hotel and will not stay there again.

Hotel is very large. Room had no safe. Room key had to be inserted very precisely into the electrical switch to switch on electricity in the room. The Ambassador Hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Sukhumvit Road, and very close to the Nana BTS station. The hotel is rather old, but well maintained. I was upgraded to a Deluxe Room at no extra charge. The room was modern and everything worked, except for the key-opearted electrical supply. This required the room key to be inserted into a slot and it must be inserted very precisely for the electricity to work. There was no safe in the room, so there's a concern about valuables. All in all, the hotel provided good value.

good location and has a nightclub under the hotel rooms a bit tired but are being upgrade i have stayed here a few times on my own and with friends.its almost like a shopping centre you can sleep in.it has a pool,gym bird garden a pub various bars and shops inside the hotel. the staff make you feel very welcome and go out of their way to make your stay a good one. good location with easy access to the rest of bangkok and only 35 mins from airport.
Nightlife Tip : a very good club under the hotel that you wont knows there unless you ask

Renovation not completed. Ambassador Hotel has been a long time favourite of mine. The first time I stayed there was in 1976 with my parents. The location is excellent with the Skytrain (BTS) a two minute walk away. All shopping, nightlife, restaurants etc. are on the doorstep. During this visit I was given a room that was recently renovated. Considering the price I paid, it was excellent value for money!
Nightlife Tip : "Cheap Charlie" is a street pub just outside the hotel in an alley on soi 11. It is a very popular hangout for expats living in Bangkok.

Beautiful beach (in the afternoon when the tide is low). Clean and nice rooms. Great breakfast. Far from center and free minibus always crowded and riding only limited times. I liked this hotel but it is a bit far from center. Suitable for old people and families.
Not so good for couples, single travelers or young couple. Don't go here if you are looking for entertainment or restaurants outside the hotel.

Location, Room facilities this is my 5th time stayed in this hotel. The hotel has been renovated and it is really comfortable compared to my previous stays. The thing i like most to stay in this hotel is its Location. Walk to the BTS (Nana) only takes less than 5 minutes. 7 Eleven is just across the road which is very convenient. Some nice pub/bar are just located opposite the hotel as well. The well known bedsupper club is also located in Soi 11.
Nightlife Tip : Bebsupper Club, Q-bar are just located nearby ( walking distance)

Good location, clean and spacious room. Very good service. The location of the hotel is very good. 5 min walks to the nearest BTS station, NaNa station. Along the stretch of road, a lot of stalls to shop around and a lot of local Thai food. To MBk, 4 faced Buddha by BTS only took less than 10 min. However, the hotel is a bit expensive. If the price could be slightly lower, it will be a fantastic choice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : BTS station is 5 min walk away. Easily access to all sightseeing and attraction. Transport to airport cost about 400 Bath excluding highway toll fees.
