nothing

dirty rooms, rude staff, be prepared to be put on a floor with construction and bug spraying right outside your room. NEVER again

I've stayed at a lot of hotels (from 3 star to 5 star) around the world and this is the worst experience i've ever had anywhere. I can pretty much sum up my stay here with the fact that the maid knocked on my door at 10am wearing a mask because they were spraying for bugs right outside my door and wanted me to check out. The fact that I was breathing in these fumes was probably a health hazard and to book people in rooms where they are spraying for bugs at the same time pretty much lacks of any common sense or decency. They also were doing construction on my floor and no one should even have been staying on this floor. The hotel is dirty, falling apart and the staff is extremely rude. If this hotel were free or they paid me to stay here again I wouldn't...i'd rather sleep on the street.

very good. Big areas, nice birds garden. very good room service. It is worth the money spent.

Coffee in the bar is a little bit expensive.

Breakfast, cheap, close to shops & transport(train).

Old, dusty due to renovations, old wing doesnt have any tea/coffee facilities.

The position of the hotel was good as MBK shopping centre was only 3 train stops away. Lovely big reception area & staff very helpful. We arrived 2 days early & were put in superior room & then allowed to remain there for a further 3 nights then had to move to old wing which needs renovations badly. Apart from that our stay was pleasant.

Shopping Tip : Close to MBK shopping complex which is large & good prices.

Good location, good breakfast selection.

The room is kind of old and aging.

I stayed in one of the old wing's rooms and the room is aging. It has all the usual amenities that a luxury hotel has to offer. There is no wifi that I know of and Internet shop is right in front of the hotel. The location is good and close to Nana BTS station. In conclusion, I do not mind staying here again but I rather choose another hotel because value for the money is not that great.

Nightlife Tip : Soi Nana is just a few blocks away.

Location.

Dirty.

Dirty (from the wall looking like someone did the moonwalk acrossed it with black soles, to the comforter smelling of waste). Also, the drain out of the bathtub was clogged causing a one-inch cover of water on the bathroom floor. I had a friend staying there, but when I tried to ring her room, they claimed they couldn't find her. They did the same thing to her. I was staying to visit Bumrungrad for some tough issues, and I would have liked to have been able to have dinner with my friend as we had planned, but we could not get in touch.

Travel tip : Close (walk or a 5 minute cab ride) to Bumrundgrad Hospital.

Central area, quiet

Hotel has a tired look to it

Arrived late and had problems checking in. The room was excellent, although I was in the new refurbished wing. On checking out though the hotel decided to pay for the laundry bag I had used - it was an excessive amount

Very central, good rooms and service

I took taxi to Don Mueang airport for domestic flight and left my cell phone in cab. I borrowed a phone from a guy at the airport to call the hotel and tell them and to see if they had record of the cab I used, they did not. At the St James I stayed the door people give you a little chitty with the cab details if you happen to leave anything, this was a fantastic service that all hotels should use.

In general it was a good hotel, rooms, food and 75% serice all good and will stay here again. It is very central for entrtainments and the street stalls, also the metro. Not happy with the cab service they provided, they took no record of a cab you take from the hotel.

The best is the aviary. While it is sad that some birds don't have space to fly, there are some beautiful birds and they make a great riotous noise. Well worth hunting out.

The room I stayed in was a bit run-down and depressing, obviously in need of repair.

I have started staying in the Ambassador because it has a gym--decent, if not great (lots of weightlifting equipment but lighter on cardiovascular) and I love the aviary, which is near the gym and swimming pool. They also have a gorgeous coffee shop on the ground floor looking out into the aviary--which feels like a jungle. But the rooms are a bit rundown and depressing, unless (I assume) you get one in a new wing.

Hotel Feature Tip : The Espresso cafe (coffee shop) on the ground floor has a beautiful view into the aviary, which looks like a jungle--great to have greenery in Bangkok!

Very beautiful, amazing breakfast, well located.

The bathroom wasn't very clean.

A very good hotel: quite cheap and well located. The room was ample, quiet and the breakfasts were really impressive. Futhermore, the hotel is really well located: 2 min by foot from the skytrain! I'll be back.

Easy to travel location with Nana Sky Train station just 10 mins away. The place is vibrant and walk away from restaurants, shops etc. Food in house is good and b'fast has a very good choice. Neat and clean.

Corridors need fluorescent lighting.

This was my first trip to bangkok and it turned out to be a very pleasant one. The hotel helped a lot as it was easily accessible with all forms of transport within easy reach. The staff were helpful and polite though I wished they spoke more English. Or perhaps I should learn some Thai as after all I am the visitor there. One thing that impressed me was their honesty when i wanted a local meter charged cab and not the high charges of the hotel taxis. The room was neat and sheets changed daily on request. The laundry service very efficient tho a tad expensive. I honesty could not find any real faults and the price over the internet was very good, my local Thai friends were impressed with the hotels' 4 star looks. I shall definitely go to bangkok again and perhaps even stay there again. Enjoy ! Heman

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Travel by the nearby Skytrain station - NANA - it links up with the MRT system and is a cheap and convenient way to travel.

Very good location, fantastic food, and good enviornment.

Not very good staff (very rude), lobby is empty-need more decoration and a television.

Hotel location was good but other then that very disappointing and the service staff (cleaner's) very rude. The hotel (lobby) was empty and needs to be more decorated. Food was good but the bar area need to be more lively as there were hidden in the corner and many guests were not aware of its existence. The staff outside was very helpful in getting transport for us to more around (thumb-up to them). Other than that it was okay.

Shopping Tip : Bargain for everything.

Beautiful lobby

The rooms and carpets are to renovate.

Only one positive comment and is the LOBBY "sublime"!However, everything was negative. The carpets in the corridors and rooms are very vieillottes, tiny bathrooms and not very clean. The lunch buffet has many choices for Indian and non-Europeans! Very disappointed.

The Hotel is old and the price is too high Guest Rating: 6.3

Good location

It is too old

In internet you only can see the new building but when you are there the lowest price is for the old buildinb. Even many people has recomended this hotel it seems that in the last years the Hotel has not received a good maintenence.

food is good, location is good

room is so old

I think this hotel grade is uncorrect. maybe 3 star of 2 star is resonable. because room is very old and not comfortable. but location and food is good
