Location. Convenient for the BTS (Nana station) and Sukhumvit, short walk to Soi 23 (cawboy) and Nana without being right in it.

The hotel isn't new any more, starting to look it, all the decor in 70's brown.

It is a big hotel in a busy part of town with good access to everything by BTS or a short walk to the MRT. The rooms are clean and functional, everything worked as it should, comfortable bed, good shower. There is a big swimming pool on the roof of the 2nd floor which although a bit old fashioned was at least big enough to swim in. Apart from starting to show its age, not too bad. One problem though, the staff are hungry for tips and aren't shy about letting you know.

Restaurant Tip : Walk down two streets to soi 7 (not 7/1)Turn right into soi 7, 100m on the left is the entrance to a covered alley, don't be put off, half way down on the left is an excellent Thai restaurant, open all night so if you arrive at 1 am from your flight a good place to know.

good breakfast clean spacious lobbby good amenities including lounge, cafe, pub good central location to skytrain

a little tired looking can be noisy from street action

Ambassador was overall a decent hotel. The room was clean and well kept, of average size. Breakfast is fairly full of good food but a limited selection of thai. Location is central to skytrain at Nana station. Sukhumvit itself is a busy street cluttered with sidewalk merchants and can be a little noisy if you find your room is facing soi 11. Up on soi 24 there are hotels like city lodge and the street is more open and inviting. Walk up this main street a few blocks and on a leafy side street are May's massage and a couple of cool restaurants, italian and thai. May's was a great sanctuary.

Restaurant Tip : Go further up to soi 24 and find May's massage.

location, close to transport, good buffet spread, close to shopping destination

should have to improve the access to superior wing. its far when compared to the main wing, from the entrance of the hotel

the spa in the hotel is great. when goin to siam paragon, central shopping malls try taking the metro rather than a taxi. the traffic jams will eat your shopping time...

Location, Spread of Breakfast, Reasonably Clean rooms

Despite booking in advance had to wait for 2 hrs to get a room, poor shower...

This hotel is located in a strategically and quite comfortably placed with respect to its distance from the airport. Lots of eating joints catering to all tastes near the hotel, which makes the stay for any outsider comfortable as he is spoilt for choices. Breakfast spread is excellent and really gives you a good start in the day when away from home.

Shopping Tip : catch the sky train from Nana station and reach Siam or MBK in less than 10 minutes...

Location: Excellent location in terms of nearness to Nana station as well as good restaurants and shops.

Rooms have a worn out look. staff (atleast the room service ones) were always on the lookout for tips in a very on the face way which was not evident elsewhere in thailand and so was surprising.

An excellent hotel location for the business traveller as well as family. Good location for movement within bangkok. All types of restaurants nearby where you can get food from indian to korean etc. Stayed inthe old ambassadr wing where the rooms do have a worn out llok but overall ok. breakfast variety is ok, nothing great but various restaurants in the hotel itsef which help. one thing is they will charge you for everything.. even for flight confirmation you have to go to the business centre where you will be charged from 10b to 40b. staff are always on the lookput for tips so keep change handy.

Restaurant Tip : Indian restaurants nearby so even if you want veg food you will not have to search long.

The entire staff was friendly and gracious. Try the lunch buffet. Nice selection. Don't forget to ck out the adjacent bar that has a happy hour from 4-6 pm.

The Hotel has several large bird cages and if you like birds that's great. Unfortunatley at the first sign of light in the morning they start sqwaking and will wake you up. Better to book a room that does not overlook the pool area.

The hotel was very nice. It is clean and the entire staff is friendly and nice. It is located about a block from the main street of Sukumvit road where you will find shopping, restaurants and transportation. As I mentioned, try the lunch buffet. They have an international selection of various foods. Be sure to have the duck and the Thai soup. Delicious. Oh, and don't forget to try the coconut icecream for desert. They have a happy hour from 4-6. Stop bye and say high to the very nice girls who bartend and waitress. The bar is located across from the main restaurant. I would definately stay there again and hope to visit soon. Highly recommended!

Nightlife Tip : If you like somewhat naughty entertainment, ask a cab (about 35 baht)to take you to the Soy Cowboy. It is a street filled with bars and entertainment. The girls are beautiful and I'm sure you will have a good time.

Rooms in Main wing need improvement service standards could improve

Checked in to the hotel on the 3rd of November. The hotel is 5 min walking distance to the BTS station which is its key selling point. very central location on sukhumvit. rooms in the tower wing are good, howver rooms on the main wing need improvement. service levels could improve overall. The hotel offers a great breakfast with lots of choice at the AM cafe located downstairs. Overall had a good experience there. Will return again

close proximity to BTS breakfast

main wing - needs improvement (rooms are old) Service in main wing needs to improve (water not replced etc)

Stayed at Ambasador hotel for 4 days. This was my 3rd visit here. great value for money hotel, with excellent breakfast and its close proximity to BTS are its key selling points. Very nice lobby area. rooms in tower wing are in very good condition, but the rooms on the main wing need improvement.Service from concierge can improve e.g better advice on travel routes etc without just asking us to take cabs. All in all very good stay. Will return back.

Facilities are very good, especially the executive facilities. Close to nightlife and skytrain

Always same weakness if you don''t know your way around is the porters and taxi working a scam of trying to charge without metre, the price is doubled, but just demand metre is put on

I always enjoy my stay here as the staff, food and facilities are very good and it's so well located for everything else, with sky train just a 100 metres away

Shopping Tip : Great for getting to shopping as sky train only 200 metres from hotel and only 5-10 minutes from major shopping of MBK, Siam and Central world for less than $1

All the Night clubs are available near to the hotel. Food of all continents are available in soi 11 and Junk food too. So., For the people who want to enjoy the life of bangkok on road its really good hotel for you.

Spacious rooms on top floors. Nice view of bangkok, near to sky train station, everything accesible

complimantory break fast same menus. location very congested, always traffic if you are going by taxi.

we have stayed here for three days in superior tower wing. its nice and clean hotel. exterior work still not finished. but rooms are nicely maintained and clean. Birds on 3rd floor nice to see. swimming pool small but in good condition. but alwys crowded with guys. breakfast is good but all three days same menu. Food very expensive. Be careful while booking tours on hotel counter. Better just comeout of hotel and you will find lot of tour operators. Lot of indian hotels around. Donot hire hotel service for dropoff to airport. Just comeout and negotiate the taxi (around 300-400 THB).Spa very expensive. Better just come out and infornt of EXIT gate you will find one very good spa with half prices.

Shopping Tip : for shopping go to MBK by sky train. Nice experience. Be carefull of taxis they will ask for less money but insist to visit to GEMS shop. For indian food visit BAWARCHI restaurant just outside the gate.

location excellent

staff impersonal

The hotel is very impressive when you walk in, looks like a palace, then things begin to emerge, the reception very aloof but functional. The rooms were old and in need of renavation.Beware when you ask for a double bed it is smoking permitted, if you want no smoking they only have twin bedded rooms! I had requested a high floor but was given a 2nd floor because of this.

Restaurant Tip : a lovely restaurant across the road in garden setting with live band and good food at reasonable prices
