this is not a first time i stay here, I have been here four years ago, everything still is the same, breakfast is good and you can enjoy the river view. the room is nice, the best part of this hotel is the swimming pool is relaxing, i think this is a best hotel for you to do nothing.
Shopping Tip:
they got one new shopping market just open, the hotel boat can carry you there, very nice shopping and food there.

The hotel is lovely and the manager is very helpful she greeted us when we arrived.

the hotel is in a nice location along the river front. the hotel supplies a taxi boat and drops you off at a peir connected to a mrt station so it is very easy to get around. the pool area was lovely and felt like you was a million miles away from the city. there were many dining options. the food was very nice. the rooms were a good size. the staff were very helpful .
Nightlife Tip:
Try the night market were the taxi boat will drop you off. It's good for shopping and dining.

resort environment in the middle of bangkok. pleasant grounds well manicured lawns right on the chao phraya river. the hotel is well furnished with antiques and / or antique-like furniture, paintings and artifacts positioned along long marble hallways and quiet halls. the rooms are spacious, and have a balcony. there is a small mall across the hotel for quick cheap fast food, for souvenirs or for beauty parlor purposes.

Close to the main temples of the area.

We enjoyed a relaxing few days taking advantage of hotel restaurants and the boat service into Bangkok centre. Food was good and service superb.

Take the boat trip from the hotel drop off to see the attractions including palace, reclining Buddha and Chinatown

classic 4-5 stars hotel, away from the bkk city chaos. great place for either for couple city escape or family holiday. gym with good equipment and clean layout- almost a miniature of pure fitness in hk. front desk service during the day is way better than late night check in. so arrive early the better. will definately consider to go again next time. spa too expensive though!!

i checked out of a 5-star hotel of the hilton chain after having lived a bad experience with the service and i came here. i was very pleasantly surprised. still a river view as with the previous hotel but what a difference... in staff competence, in readiness to please by the staff, in the price too. i paid 50% less for this hotel than with its neighbor on the chao phraya but gained. the anantara hotel is luxurious, low-key in its choice of decor, the rooms are spacious, with a desk and a balcony.
Restaurant Tip:
They could improve the quality of the food, as even the Thai food was overpriced and not very good.

we love this hotel. The staff are friendly and the pool and grounds are great fun for the kids. The breakfast has everything and was to a very high standard. The staff cater well for kids with kids club with wii games, child menues with food the picky eaters will enjoy and great atmosphere around the pool. The staff were so kind leaving bread out for the kids to feed the fish.
Restaurant Tip:
If you dont fancy eating every meal in the hotel, in the adjacent plaza there is McD's for the kids, a great thai restuarant, pizza place and a great asian vegetarian restaurant. Plus massage places at reasonable rates for beauty treatments or foot massage.

being in the city it is refreshng to find a resort-like setting hotel with plenty of space and greenery. the view of the river is fantastic and the swimming pool is very inviting. the room is also spacious and clean but the bathroom has no separate shower which makes it difficult to climb over the long bath for a shower.
however, it is surprising that the 5-star hotel charges for room internet and it is very costly.
